Hotel Musketyr

Just arrived back from a lovely 4 night stay at the Wenceslas Square Hotel. Very spacious rooms and huge bathroom and all spotless. I love the décor of the building with lots of vintage photos of the area. I'm a real history buff so really appreciated this. The breakfast was more like a banquet than a buffet. So much too choose from. All very different too what you get back in England but then that's why I like to go abroad and taste the different food. They changed the hot options each day so that was also another nice touch. The staff were always helpful and greeted you with a smile. I loved the roof top terrace bar. I was lucky with the weather but was still offered a blanket if I wanted one. I would very much recommend the mulled wine that is individually made. It was large and extremely delicious just what you need when you are sitting on the rooftop watching the sunset. It was the best I tasted in Prague and very reasonably priced. There was a mini bar in the room which as far as mini bars go was not too expensive. I did dip into it from time to time. I was also surprised how quiet it was at night. There were no noisy stags in the hotel and my room looked over the gardens and not the road and was extremely quiet I even had the window open at night and I slept really well. I ate in the restaurant next door I was given a voucher at the reception which gave me a free drink. So I thought why not it would be rude not too and very much enjoyed my first proper Czech food experience in Prague. You really are spoilt for choice for restaurants in the area not all Czech ones but I was only interested in local food as that's one of the reasons why I went in the first place. Overall thoroughly enjoyed my stay and if and when I go back to Prague I would certainly look to stay here again. Thanks to all the staff at Wenceslas Square Hotel.
