Pension Paseka

I highly recommend staying at the Pension Paseka. Location is great and the room (#7) was very clean and comfortable. Also included a good breakfast buffet (at a nearby hotel restaurant).
Would love to come back someday!

I have spent one night in Litomysl when I was visiting this town with foreign tourists from the USA who I have been accompanying to search for their ancestor's roots. Litomysl is a little town, however it is a hidden gem with many beautiful places of interest (F.e. the Litomysl Renaissance chateau is listed by UNESCO and the town is also a birth place of the world-famous Czech composer Bedrich Smetana!). I am a great fan of the Czech artist Josef Vachal and therefore I did not hesitate and pick up the Pension Paseka for an overnight stay. The outdoor decorations of the house were done by him and I simply love his humor! The pension itself is really cute. My room was spacious, clean and cozy. The reception desk is 5 minutes walk in the Hotel Aplaus and you can go there for a breakfast, too, which was very nice. Even the wine bar downstairs of the Pension Paseka was a lovely spot. I had a cafe with a lemon cake and enjoyed the artistic ambiance. I would stay there again without a hesitation!

Situated right on the main square, the pension is easy to find. 

The girl at reception was friendly, helpful and efficient, and our accommodation was very spacious, clean and comfortable.  The simple lunch we had there was delicious and inexpensive, and as was breakfast next morning. The bar in the evening was crowded (with locals, a sure sign of a good place) but the service was excellent. When we return to Litomysil, as we shall, we shall definitely stay there again.

Reception is in the bar up the alleyway and the staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable and our room was quiet. The room overlooked the main street but only had one window at the end of the bedroom so not the most natural light coming in. The breakfast was of a good standard.

The pension is situated in the heart of town Litomysl where you can find so many coffee shops, restaurants etc. We stayed in roof apartment with 2 tiny windows facing building opposite to us so there wasn't enough light and lamp bulbs weren't strong enough to lighten those two rooms, had to do my make-up sitting on window seal. But apartment was very clean, tidy and cosy, you get complimentary coffee/tea in your room. Double bed was 2 single beds pushed together, not very comfy. Wifi worked for 5min of our stay when told staff they didn't know what to do about it. 
No shower gel in the bathroom only 2 small sachet of shampoo that was meant to last whole stay?? Luckily there are lots of shops in the square so you can get yourself what you need. 
Breakfast was very poor, we had coffee, eggs, yesterday's bread, butter, jam and some wannabe juice that coloured my tongue :) So don't bother with breakfast there is so many places around you can get lovely breakfast.

First Class Pension

Clean, comfortable, good location

Convenient location

I have quite mixed feelings from this place. First of all, the check in is 250 meters away, probably in the most luxurious place in the town. To get there, you will first stop at the small pub on a way to the hotel you don't know yet that you are heading to. The reason is that a sing at the pension's door redirects you to the pub. The waitresses at the pub told me and my friend to go to this expensive hotel for check-in because even thought the pub is not the check-in place, it's still mentioned at the pension's door. 
The hotel for check-in is very fancy and nice, the check-in was very smooth and the personnel is really professional. We have got the keys and headed back to the pension. 
Our room was super clean and nicely warm. Since we were playing a board game at the table, I didn't like that all the cards were getting stuck to the table, since the coating of the table was very old. Besides that, I was very satisfied. 
If you decide to pay a bit more and go for the breakfast, which I strongly recommend, you end up again at the hotel and its luxurious restaurant. The food was amazing. 
Check-out is also interesting. When leaving the pension's building, we left the keys at the box at the entrance door. Simple as that, without getting back to the hotel. 
Parking at the main square costs 50 crows per day, Sundays are free.
