Mimosa Beach Hotel

When we first arrived the grump on the reception booked us in, yes it was early in the morning but we thought what have we done. Waking up to the sight of the lovely cove that was just a few steps away from the hotel made up to the reception we got. Food is a bit hit and miss, but you can swap your evening meal for a lunchtime meal from the bar which we did quite often as we did go into the town. Caught the bus which is at the top of the road and costs about 2 euros. If you want bottles of water etc there is a shop about 15 mins walk away but do it early in the morning or use a shop in the town or it’s a hot walk back to the hotel. Rooms are ok, had ants one day but it is hot and there were gone as soon as they arrived. Fridge in room for water and whatever you can put in there to keep cool. No kettle, we brought are own but you can hire one from the reception. Beach is just a walk away and a great please to swim out, go diving or snorkelling. Staff are brilliant and very friendly, the couple who run the hotel are lovely and even take the time to speak to you and had a chat about the history of the hotel and the island. Entertainments not brilliant but we enjoyed what they had on. Made a few friends which we never do on holiday and had such a chilled holiday we have booked again for next year. There are people of different ages that go here, don’t let the reviews put you off, yes it’s out the way but towns just a bus or a taxi away.
