I don’t know where to start. From when we got there the owners where on call 24/7. The villa named Sandri was immaculate. Even the sofas turned into beds which helped a lot as I was pregnant. When they learnt that I was pregnant it was like the care stepped up ten fold with the man, sofocles and woman couple I think her name was Sandri like the villa. They brought us fresh fruit from their trees and just so lovely and helpful. The swimming pool was lovely and for being two hot to just be able to get in the pool within a few step was brilliant. One night they invited us for a bbq and the food was endless and again they where so accommodating and just lovely. They showed us about all the switches and stuff and washing machine and how it worked which was really useful. Then down a little path and just over some pebbles was a lovely beach with a really cute little bar restaurant and that’s it really. Was just a perfectly lovely holiday and we’re booked in to go again in august and can’t wait!

We have stayed in 2 of these villas: Villa Alexandra in 2016 and Villa Kleoniki this year (2019).  We did this via Villa Plus.

We really enjoyed both stays very much.  I admit that the photos used by Villa Plus make them look far nicer than than they are in reality but we have found that with everywhere that we have stayed - it's marketing.  Having said that, the villa furniture was good quality, the equipment provided was fine and the cleanliness level was high (I don't know if Villa Plus or owner is responsible for cleaning).  The pools were great and garden area neat and tidy.

The first time, we had to get a grate for the barbecue and we had to do this again for Kleoniki whereas these should be in place according to Villa Plus.  However, the owner quickly sorted this out.  We also had an issue with the washing machine which broke (could happen anytime) but this was replaced within 2 days so the owner was responsive and he even gave us access to his own villa to do our washing.

The location is a 5-minute drive down the road towards the camp-site and then another minor road.  There are 6 villas down a small track so it is very quiet and private.

The main beach for Polis can be reached via a path at the end of the villa track and a 5-minute walk across a pebbly beach.  This is a fine beach with a pretty good bar/restaurant.

Polis centre is a 15-minute walk back up the same route mentioned above but there is a good bar and a good restaurant half way.  Polis is a quiet village/town good for couples and groups who want a pleasant place to stay away from the main crowd.  There are many good restaurants and plenty of bars.  Latchi, a few miles along the road, is more lively.  We walked to Latchi along the beach path but it's a long walk and at 35 degrees, you will know that you've done it!  There is a bus service and taxis are not too expensive.

Great villa holidays

We saw the pictures of the property, booked at a great price and couldn't wait. We called the owner a few days before our visit and he gave us directions and a code for the key which was easy to find and that's where the positives stop. On arrival, it was dirty, the bathrooms and so was the washing machine which had dirty washing in as well. We had no hot water for the duration of our stay and although we were offered a second villa, it was even worse than ours. It advertises a pool table and table tennis but that is only available if you book through villa plus. All in all its my worst holiday experience ever.
