20 reviewsWe Found this hotel by pure luck, it was not in any of the Guide books and we were looking for the Hotel La Rusa ( which we found later on the opposite corner). From the moment we entered the hotel and was welcomed by the Smiling Nelson who seemed to be the one man band, we knew we had found a Little gem. The hotel has only been opened 6 months and it is very obvious that great care and a great deal of money has been spent to make its guests as comfortable as possible. We were helped to our room up stairs (no lift) by nelson himself and given a room on the front of the hotel with a Balcony overlooking the Malecon ( the Boardwalk/Seafront) A great view. The Room itself was immaculately Clean, very Comfy beds,(we asked for extra pillows and they were delivered within minutes) a seating area, A bathroom that was spacious with a shower that 4 people could fit in, the towels were clean and soft if a bit small LOL. One TIP do not leave any kind of food or drink out, as in most hot climates Ants came from nowhere when i spilt a bit of coffee but i washed them away and never saw another bug. The Hotel is Solar powered so there was endless Hot water and good pressure. The Ac was new and very efficient . A Fridge under the counter was on and working and a safe in the wardrobe also in excellent condition and working. TV was new Flat screen CNN and TNT in English. The Bar downstairs also serves as the Breakfast Cook area and was also immaculately clean so you could actually see where your food was being cooked. Breakfast itself was Basic but all Fresh and As much as you wanted. Wifi is available in the Lobby a charge of CUC 5 per hour $5.75 by purchasing a card. The Bar and lounge area are very comfortable light and airy and you can also sit outside on the balcony and watch the ocean or the local kids playing football. This is only Bed and Breakfast and Nelson recommended a Local Padelo to go to for dinner. We would easily recommend this hotel and would go back again if in the area, A Big Thank you to Nelson who even with his Broken English offered much help and advice. The Room Cost CUC 40 ($45.00) per night
