Four Corners Hostel

We, family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids 8 and 11), spent just one night in this hostel and we LOVED it and we would defo come back there!!! It is in the very heart of old town in Zadar. The accomodation is really nice, clean and cozy. 
We came on the late flight from Dublin and the lady in reception, Katrina, was waiting for us there and she was VERY helpful and kind. She gave us some great tips on where to go and eat and also where to take a boat to island that we were going to.
I recommend this place. Great place for little money.

Great location, very comfortable beds - new mattresses, great and helpful service . This place attracts very interesting and open people. Nearby are restaurants, bars, rental equipment (bicycles, scooters, kayaks, diving equipment) and travel agency. Very close to the museums. I highly recommend this hostel, I have the same good impression after the service and location.

1 of the cheapest places to stay in the old city. This is the sister hostel of Three Corners and Tequila bar. The reception is beside Tequila bar. 4 Corners is about 2 minutes away.
I was in a 4 bed dorm and luckily had the room to myself. The kitchen is limited with 1 hob. The WiFi signal was fairly weak and would come and go. The check in and check out times are a little ridiculous. Check out time is 9:30am which is stupidly early, while check-in was after 2pm. I think they can clean the rooms in less than 4 1/2 hours especially as it was fairly empty when I stayed there.
The showers were really good though.
Overall if you are fine with a cheap enough hostel in a good location this does the job.

- No elevator
- Stairs are very slippery if you are wearing flip flops. I fell.
- Reception is located in another building. Research the location of reception before arriving at 4 Corners.  It took me a long time to locate reception even with the assistance of someone from the city of Zadar. It would be helpful if the Hostel provided a map to their clients.
+You experience Old Town Zadar where the crowds hang out. Pubs, Restaurants, Pizza, Eateries, Loud Music. This is a positive experience!
+there is a quasi functional kitchen. It is possible to cook a meal when you get the appliances to eventually work.
+there is a shower but you have to let the water trickle otherwise there will be a flood as the shower drain is not properly working. Adds to the atmosphere of this place.
+there is air conditioning in the room!
+I think a towel was provided. Bonus!
+Reception has knowledge of things that you can do in Zadar or day trips elsewhere. Just ask them.

Lovely place!

Only positive impressions

We've stayed here in July and to tell you the truth this was the worst place I've ever stayed at. The "reception" was in a completely different place than the hostel. It was super hot (which is ok cause it's summer and stuff) but I couldn't really keep the window open cause it was too loud outside even at night. The bathrooms were super dirty so as the kitchen. The group of young people were hanging out in the kitchen the whole night, chatting super loud and consuming alcohol and some questionable substances.
I'd recommend to avoid this place and look for something else even if it's more expensive.


Avoid this one

The manager is one kind of person who cheat tourist in order to make his own profit. He lied abd he avoid communication keeping an arrogant and defiant attitude. He owns several hostels in the city (office addres is located at Ulica Rafaela Levakovića 1, Zadar), you must avoid this person. They do not have 24 hours desktop (all properties in Croatia has) so if for any reason you are late, he will not accomodate you as well as he will charge all days and cancel your reservation because you "did not show up". Obviously they will not communicate to you or he will say that he is an agency and he cannot communicate with the property. Everything is false, it is just this kind of person who has aggresives hidden policies to take advantages of a customer. Avoid any business with this person
