Really comfortable room, huge bath, nice shower. Clean towels each day and bed made for you. There was a bit of a trek up stairs to get to the room and it’s a 15 minute walk from the port. But the views down to the sea were amazing. The owners left little cakes outside the room each day for us.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was great value for money!

Up above the town this property is run by a friendly couple who will meet you at the ferry and deliver you and your bags to the door. There is a more direct set of stairs (than the road) to get you up and down from the guesthouse and the town and these act as great exercise. The property is new and the room is very nice, great shower, air con, fridge, flat screen TV and good wifi. Tea and coffee is supplied on the counter outside the room. Damir and Darka were great helping with maps etc. We loved the property and wish we had stayed longer. Thank you.

We stayed for three nights in September and can highly recommend this accommodation. When making the booking on Booking.com, I did think it read more like an apartment than a guesthouse but then the same term in different countries can have different meanings. 

The previous reviewer referred to the steps up or down to Vis Town. Yes, this is clearly a problem if you have a mobility disability. We rather liked it because the steps take you through an older area, OK, not centuries old but much older than the Bellevue. I sincerely hope that construction is not permitted on the same contour line as Bellevue because it will start to ruin the look of this settlement. 

For more than a decade, I've been keen to reach Vis and, having achieved it, am not disappointed. I just wish I had been able to stay longer. Reflecting on the details provided by Booking.com, I would emphasise that some are accurate and some are not; for example, there is NO minibar as their details state but there is a small refrigerator which could be stocked. Yes, their details concerning King size bed are correct... Yes, there is a small swimming pool but it is not 'private' in the sense that it is unique to just one apartment. 

Overall, I really recommend Bellevue. The view alone of Vis Bay and St Jerome's Church almost make it a must-do.

Amazing views!

Great views from this wonderful property.

Apartment rather than Guesthouse Bellevue

It's okay. It's modern and clean. And the view is nice. But we did have some niggles. It's situated 5 minutes above the town which means a bit of a steep walk up some concrete steps - a pain when you first arrive with luggage, hard to find when you first do it, and not something you look forward to after a night out. Main gripe was the ad on Booking.com gives the impression that there were some shared cooking facilities - but there were none. Perhaps this was a teething problem but we found it inconvenient. So unless you book an apartment room with built in kitchen, then this place is accommodation only. Literally! Not even a kettle in our room. The air con is noisy and the wi-fi is not very good. (they said it was because we were on an island but it worked fine in other places) All in all, I think we could have found better & cheaper through airbnb or locally. Friends of ours did - and got a much better deal.

Okay, not great

All the conditions were present for us to have a good stay, we got there in the late afternoon, had a shower and then headed in town for dinner. 
Came back walking from town, put the AC on and closed the blinds. 
10 minutes in the lights go down, with the wifi and the AC. 

I heard some noise downstairs so decided to go and have a look, found the owners outside their appartment (They live on the ground floor from the same building) telling me the electricity had gone down because everybody was using the AC, (not a surprise it's 30° outside) and that they wouldn't flip the switch until tomorrow because the electrical board from the whole building was located in a room that they were currently renting. 

Why raises a few questions: 
-In terms of security, how safe can it be to have the whole block panel located in one rented room. 
-In terms of comfort, all the rooms stayed without electricity and especially AC until 10 in the morning because they couldn't wake up the guests who were renting this room. 
-Why fully book your hotel, knowing that the electricity installation won't handle various rooms putting the AC on a hot summer night ? 

Conclusion is that i payed 100% of the price, for a bed and a shower, couldn't catch up on my work without the wifi, couldn't sleep because of the heat and couldn't even enjoy what was most valued in the hotel, which is the view, because it resulted impossible to open the blinds before check out. 

I don't doubt that the accomodation could offer a pleasant stay if all conditions were met, but they demostrated that they do not have the capacity to solve necesary problems and that is merely a missed attempt to transform a house into a business without the necesary investments. 

The fact that they tried to downplay this problem, stating that they had to suffer it too because they are living in the same building, could make it laughable if i didn't happen to pay 117€ to stay the night.
