Sea View Gagula Penthouse

I can't recommend this place enough. We emailed before we arrived in Cavtat and asked if a lift could be arranged for us, we arrived at the airport and were greeted by a taxi which Jelena, our host, had organised for us free of charge. It is a 10 minute drive to the apartment which is ideal. The planes do not fly often and being near the airport was not noisy at all which we had feared it might be! The apartment is gorgeous, with absolutely breathtaking views as we got a room with a sea view. You can see for miles and miles, can't imagine a more incredible view to wake up to. The apartment is also very clean and comfortable and well equipped, with the kitchen providing everything you need. The hostess Jelena could have not been more helpful, she was so willing to help us in any way she could and gave us lots of leaflets to give us advice and she even offered to drive us to the supermarket for food when we arrived as we did not have a hire car! It is a bit of a walk as the apartment is on a hill but that is the price you pay for good views. Would recommend a bus or taxi if you have very young kids but we are not that fit and we managed the hill fine. It helped us burn off some of the pizza calories. It takes about 40 mins to get to the centre of Cavtat but there are restaurants on the way if you don't want to walk all the way in. We loved our stay at Apartments Gagula and recommend to anyone who wants to stay in a luxury apartment in a quiet location with gorgeous views!
