Golden Frog Hostel

This hostel is right on the pedestrian street. The rooms are nice and clean, there is free internet, a kitchen equipped with everything you might need. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Great value for money!

Stayed there some days. The room was clean. The staff was helpful. There is a kitchen, a TV room, free WIFI. It is located in the very center of San Jose close to most of the bus stations. Restaurants, supermarket, ATM nearby.

- toilets and showers were not very clean when there were a lot of people, could use a new fridge

The location is perfect, the service were very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are efficient and clean! Also, they keep a safe and healthy environment for every kind of traveler :) 
I recommend investing in roof fans though, this way the room's ventilation is improved but mostly to help with sound isolation.

- taxi rank as you turn left out of the hostel. 
- only stayed here for the one night as was getting the bus the next day 
- would recommend for a quick stop over in the middle of the city

Good location 

Great location, nice staff

We had a bad experience with bedbugs in another hostel so we moved here. Location is great it's like an apartment above the Main Street in centre. A great place to stay if coming in or out on the airport bus as its walkable from the airport bus station. The beds are all new and comfy, there's a kitchen and small social room but no sofas to relax on only chairs, would recommend to hostel to get some comfy sofas and you are the best in San Jose.
