We stayed here while seeing the Zhangjaijie forest. This hotel was absolutely beautiful and right up in the mountains. Gorgeous landscape and gorgeous architecture. Not just that but the workers were great. The owner is the nicest person we met while we were in China. Helped us out in every way from when we were lost getting there from the airport he talked to our driver, we needed more cash so took us to the bank, helped us plan our daily trips, when we went on excursions he gave us his contact information in case we needed help (which we did and had to call him!) just completely went out of his way to help us in every way. I have traveled to 28 countries and I can say without a doubt I have never met a hotel employee who has cared more about his guests and gone so far out of his way to help them. If you like nature, like beautiful scenery and plan on visiting the forest- you have to stay here! We will be back again- hopefully sometime soon!
