5 reviewsThis is a very smart hotel which eight of us (four Brits and four Chinese) used as our base for 4 days. I was expecting something much more basic but rooms are large and comfortable with WiFi. My room had a great view over the city towards the mountains. Bathrooms (en suite) are what you'd expect in an up-market hotel in Europe. We only ate there for breakfast, which is served in a large dining room. It's buffet service with a vast choice of hot and cold dishes. But the fresh fruit is probably the only thing a Westerner would recognise. The biggest problem is the language barrier. Most staff speak no English at all and the receptionists only have a few words. If you don't speak Chinese you will need an interpreter with you. There are English translations on signs - but they're mostly unintentionally comical, such as instruction number 9 in the lift: "Elevator out of control when your hands Car wall, knees slightly bent, his mouth open, calm emotions."
