Yang Jiang Hot Spring Hotel

The hot springs are very nice, very clean. They drain all of them and clean every day. Incredible swimming pool if you like swimming. The rooms are so to ok. A little in the old side but for the money it is a very nice place. The only draw back is if you don't drive there. You have to catch a taxi from Yangjiang and each was is about $15.00 US.

Nice hot springs for the money

My friend and I visited the hot spring while our friends were playing golf in the next door resort. However, we did not stay at this hotel (we stayed at the Yangjiang Lakefront Golf Resort located 10 min away from the hot spring). 

The entrance ticket costs RMB108 but it can be negotiated. As we were only planning to stay for 2 hours, we managed to get a ticket for 50RMB. 

The hot spring looked a bit old but the facilities are still ok (the water looks clean).The entrance ticket will give you access to  2 or 3 large swimming pools with waterslides (which were only opened during 15min when we were there) and about 10 small ponds with hot water. 

There is also a pond with kissing-fish (fish that eat dead skin) but you'll have to pay an extra RMB18 to get in it.
The hot spring also offers massages (Chinese traditional, Thai style, feet massage...) starting at RMB100/hour.

We went there in November when it was still sunny but not very hot and it wasn't too crowded. 

Note that there is no restaurant inside the hot spring. It is possible to eat at the hotel which is located at 5-10 min walk from there but beware of the fact that you will be asked to buy a new ticket when you come back!

The western restaurant inside the hotel does its own interpretation of western cuisine and is unsurprisingly bad.

Although the experience wasn’t too bad, Yangjiang’s hot spring is not really worth the visit.
