We stayed at this hotel at room 1808, it was a big room, very clean, very nice, breakfast is okey. An old hotel but our room was one of the newly renovated executive room so it was very okey. Near BRT, shopping and restaurants. If we go back to Xiamen, definitely we will stay here. Front desk staff are very nice. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice, clean hotel , very near some interesting shops . However the minibar is empty and the fridge does not work. We find difficulty in keeping our fruits fresh.
The mattress is just too hard. We were given a room for three and the additional bed was just too hard to sleep on. Very difficult to catch a taxi from this part of town.The staff struggle with English and i was kept waiting for almost half an hour just to make some enquiries.

About 15 minutes by taxi (thanks to the reckless driving of my driver!) - costs 28 rmb from airport. It is right in the middle of a busy road, so not recommended for people looking for some peace and quiet (if peace and quiet is more of your choice, I would suggest places near Songbai park or in Gulang yu).

There aer of course some advantages of staying in the middle of the city - lots of banks and ATM machines closeby, shops and bus stops are just across the corner. And there are many restaurants nearby too.

It is a big hotel, mid range so there are always a few rooms available. Net in room is good and the breakfast was fair. Rooms were clean. At the reception, some people spoke English, but they were all helpful

Not bad, not great either

This place is unique but not in the good since.. it has potential but it falls short of the glory ... my first room was horrible it was moldy smelled like chemicals . Few of my colleagues had to transfer off the floor.  The rug was dirty stained bathroom was mildew shower curtain was rusty it was a nightmare . I asked to relocated after one night . They took me off of the 8th floor and put me on the 15th .... better but no cigar ... The room did not smell as bad there was still mildew in the bathroom . The staff was polite to some extent others told you out right no I don't speak English and hung up on you . The food mostly Asian . Location is ok not too far from shops etc bus station . Wifi is on every floor . This place is only a fly by place not to vacation at unless serious renovations are done .

Not my first choice

Stayed here one night, arranged by my hosts, and risked being a bad guest by refusing to stay here for the remainder of the trip. Why? Because there is a terrible chemical smell throughout the hotel, and there is visible mold in the bathrooms and on the walls of the rooms.

Hotel staff argued with us for a full hour, after acknowledging that there was some kind of "problem" (though they wouldn't say what) causing the chemical smell, when we wanted to switch to another room. They only relented when we called our hosts to join the debate.

Both myself and my colleague reacted physically to the chemical smell, coughing and becoming light-headed, and we both had a sore throat for a few days after.
