3 reviewsI was very skeptical of the quality of this hotel, when I paid $28 for a room. Turned out you can get a decent hotel room for that price in China. The room was large, furnished with most things you'll need (including vibrating sex toys for a small price), and most importantly, clean and odor-free. Although the bed is really firm (not the good kind) and water pressure is low and temperature may fluctuate quite a bit. Breakfast is included in most booking, or available at CNY 20 on-site. It was terrible, unless you find fighting for food with 50 Chinese tourists an enjoyment. The hotel is located near downtown Xiamen and most things are within a 10-min cab ride (provided that you can get a cab). The airport and the International Ferry Terminal (for Gulanyu as well) are about 20 to 30 minutes away, depending on traffic. The cheapest rooms in this hotel are windowless, and most booking sites (hotels.com, booking.com...etc) mistakenly list them as with "landmark view" or "city view". The hotel manager was kind enough to upgrade my room to one with windows. Also the hotel only accepts cash and Union Pay (China's own credit card system).
