Tripadvisor - Leiniao Hostel

Location and price are OK, however this hostel itself is very average. The bed was like a plank of wood and the room was poor. The Internet was unusable (even by Chinese standards). We found alternative accommodation for our two remaining nights in Urumqi.

If you do want to get there, the directions provided by the hostel are pathetic. From the airport, take the shuttle bus and get off at Hongshan. I believe that where the bus actually drops you off in Hongshan depends on the driver. Here are hopefully some more helpful directions:

- When you get off the bus, the first thing to do is to find the large roundabout (traffic circle). You can't miss it.
- Once at the roundabout, look around at the tall buildings and find the Southern Airlines Pearl International Hotel and use the underpasses to walk directly to it.
- The hostel is down the ally directly to the left of the hotel when you are facing it.
- Walk 100m down the alley and you will see the hostel on the left.

Try to find an alternative

I stayed for a night, but even I could stay one more night no way.
Dirty shower rooms, toilets are smell bad, this hostel still have a plenty of things to do. Wifi is totally slow slow and slow. Not the worst hostel so far. However, someone will one day. 

Receptionist speaks understandable English.

I love to go local restaurants, so it's a good location to access.

But I don't recommend this. I'm sorry this hostel needs to achieve an average accommodation first.
