This hotel is a surprise for me. It is one of those hotels not affiliated with known hotel chains. The hardware of the hotel is excellent with an impressive lobby. It is adjacent to a conference center which makes it very convenient if your company has the need to hold a conference in Taiyuan. The rooms are clean and well decorated. Cleaning staffs are very good. Food served at the cafe for breakfast is limited to a large variety of Chinese and little Western style. Coffee is ok, but no freshen brewed. As we sat down this morning, I asked the waitress for a cup of coffee and was told to get it myself. Overall I would recommend this hotel even to a Westerner.
