Dadonghai Hotel Sanya

4.5 is a pretty accurate grade for our 6-day stay. First of all, be aware there two Dadonghai Hotels in the same area, which was confusing when we arrived. Although this hotel is tall, and its sign is properly seen from the main road. Second of all, as everywhere in china, if you dont speak mandarin, you need online translating app everywhere (i used Translator with dual voice translation mode). Only HK speak english, elsewhere use the translator. The hotel located right next to the main Dadonghai park with pathway leading to the beach side. The park is used by locals for exercise and dancing. The music in the park is pretty loud 24/7, but the balcony door is sound prouf. One day three different types of music were playing at the same time)) Our room was spacious, about 35 sqm, and quite modern. The beds are soft, our sleep was good. The cleaning and room service is prompt and thorough. Remember to close the balcony door as there are plenty of mosquitos. The gym is decent but lacking basic equipment needed for bench press or stretching. The food is good and various. It our first time trip to China and local food was expected to be an issue. We were happy to find every of our five locations turned out to be diverse in local food options. Both in hotels, in the restaurants and even street food was delicious. We recommend to try Bikini bottom food market with lots of local cuisine, fruits and drinks. It is located 5 min walk from the hotel, next to the Pineapple shopping center.
