This place is great. At first I was a little skeptical because of the reviews but the lady at the front desk has been very helpful even after I went back down after getting my room and finding the bathroom stank like public men's restroom. Apparently, the room I was assigned hadn't been ready. She was very nice and changed me into another room for me. My second room was clean and the ac was a blessed relief from the humidity outside. Side note: Leave your ego at the door!Even if you're frustrated, treat people with respect and kindness and you'll get the same in return. So the staffs English isn't very good, but they're trying! Make sure you some sort of translating device like Google translate (download the chinese language function before coming to China so you can use offline). This place is literally 4 minute walk away from the bund. Just walk one and a half blocks to the left when you exit the hotel. For a pretty cheap hotel, this place was pretty awesome! All in all, I will come back again.
