GreenTree Inn Shanghai Century Park

I stayed in this hotel last week and this was my first time in China. The rooms were clean and location of the hotel was good for me. I was there for an exhibition, and this hotel is not far away from International Expo Center. By Taxi it use to take less than 5 minutes. Things which I didnt like about the hotel were: No cupboard in the room. The bathroom's wall and door are made of glass, so if two friends are staying in one room, it gets difficult, as one can see the other from outside. Hardly any one in the hotel speaks English, so communication is one big problem. Otherwise rooms were okay, there was no breakfast. Also for Muslim travelers like myself, there was this "HALAL" Chinese restaurant just across the road. The downtown area, known as "The Bund" is a little far from this hotel, if you take a taxi, it will take around 15-20 minutes and will cost around 30 RMB. (5 US$). Meglev station is not far from this hotel, so if you arrive at the Pudong International Airport, you can take this fast train to the station (it only goes to one station). From there you can take a taxi which will be like 10 RMB or something. I was there for business so this hotel was suitable, else it is always better to stay near the downtown area.
