I stayed about 2 weeks on my vacation in this hotel in Shanghai. This is one of the low cost hotel chains in China. As a whole, the staff is polite, the room is very small but functional completed with clean bed sheet, self-contained shower and bathroom with bathroom kit and fresh bath towels supplied daily. The room is air conditionered with free in-house internet movies and in-room internet connection. The Wi-Fi is however available only in a very small area near the reception which is a bit inconvenient for smart phone users. The hotel has ready access to the underground Metro and is very close to the Maglev station in Long Yang Station. The hotel is geared towards the local business and leisure travelers and can take both local and international credit cards. The staff however has very limited command of English. There is no formal restaurant facility dinner. However, the breakfast is served in a dinner area at a very cheap rate with a decent quality and selection. Interestingly, my room rate fluctuated based on the daily rate of the hotel even though I booked for 2 weeks stay. So, if you are in Shanghai during a peak season, you may not enjoy the advance booking prices. If you are after a cheap, clean, safe and no frill accommodation, this hotel may be for you. I personally prefer this type of hotel when I am not on business as I do not tend to support the corporate greed of the international hotel chains. In 4 or 5 stars international hotel chains in Shanghai, you will have to pay through your nose for everything. The breakfast starts around RMB170. Daily internet access for a single laptop is typically RMB120. My breakfast at this hotel was RMB18 and my room rate was around RMB155 to 201 and the internet was free! If you have a car, you can ask the reception for a free parking space too. Since the hotel is only two-storey high, it has no elevator. So, if you have heavy luggages, you may like to ask the hotel guard to give you a hand to the higher floor. Except on the very small size of the room, I am happy with everything else.
