Not everything is in perfect condition but the room is 35+m2 and everything works or the very helpful staff try to fix it for you right away. There's frontdesk staff on the first floor 24 hours in case you forget your elevator card to access the hotel floors, but the actual reception for the service apartment is 1103 in the "International Apartment" building (not "Administration Mansion") - try to get their WeChat account in case they're not in the office late at night (someone responds at all hours, be it midnight or 4 am). You can even have stuff delivered here when you're not in. You can do laundry in your room and it dries in a day on the dryer rack provided. Rooms are cleaned every other day and sheets are changed every 6 days unless you specify otherwise - it's not spotless but it's fairly clean. If your neighbor smokes, your room might be a bit smelly through the vents for a little while but otherwise it's fine even for someone who hates the smell of cigarette smoke. It's generally pretty quiet but again, if you have inconsiderate neighbors who shout at odd hours, then you can definitely hear them. The aircon is quiet and works very well. The electric stove light may stay lit long after you've turned it off but turns off automatically after 30 minutes. Wifi works. Lots of channels but almost all of the channels on TV are in Chinese except for maybe a couple. It's at Jiangning Road and Wuding Road, a tall building with the sign "BAOYE GROUP/Shanghai Boutique" across from "JiangAn Sports & Fitness Center". Lots of restaurants and 24-hour convenience stores around. There's a also a supermarket a short walk away called "Lianhua" on Xinzha Road. 15 minutes to walk to Line 2/12/13's West Nanjing Road Station, a very central area.
