10 reviewsI live in Beijing spent part of my Oct 1 holiday in Qinhuangdao/Beidaihe. I lived in Qinhuangdao 20 years ago, so I know the area fairly well. The hotel was clean for China -- the sheets and towels were new but the carpet was slightly stained. The room was bright. The staff was friendly, but I suspect they don't speak much English. The food in the restaurant was good Chinese food, but no western food was available. This hotel is 2 KM from the outskirts of Beidaihe and about 8 KM from the university district in Qinhuangdao. You have to cross a wide road to get to the beach. Across the road is a lovely boardwalk that is about 8 KM long. The beach directly across from the hotel isn't a swimming beach, but if you go several KM towards the universities, there is a nice, uncrowded, fairly rustic swimming beach. I've enclosed photos.
