Haiyu Hotel

I stayed there for 3 nights during my visit there in the beginning of February 2013, and was delighted with the views. It's as close to the sea as you can get without actually go swimming in the sea. We had snow there one day so I saw a white beach, which was a first for me. If I ever go back to Qingdao, I would not mind going back there again. I wasn't too impressed with the service when I first arrived, as the receptionists didn't sound very patient or helpful, but it did get better after that. The twin room I stayed in was lovely, with a bathroom and plenty of space. It is good value to me, especially for the winter time. I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on the quality of the food there. The mini bar was reasonably priced, with 10 yuan for a Qingdao beer, which I thought was very good. One disadvantage is that there is no wifi in the room, so I had to go to the lobby to use my iPad. The room does have Internet access for laptops. Overall, I am happy with what was on offer and I would have no reservation recommending it.
