Nanning Guoyu Hotel

I liked this hotel so much, I stayed for a month. It is a very lively place. The bed is nice and hard, just as the Chinese like it. It is good for your back. Get used to it. If you get get little stiff, there’s a spa on the third floor. They also offers full room service. No coffee in the breakfast room, but I foresaw that and packed my own. No problem. One day, I could not connect to their wifi, so they cheerfully changed my room, no problem. The hot water went out several times, but it was quickly restored, again no problem. They have an excellent Chinese restaurant on the second floor with specialities of Guangxi, Bama, really good food. They have a nightclub in the back of the hotel. You pay to get in, forget how much. A waitress brings beers, or whatever you order. A variety show begins. You can watch fully clothed pole dancers, a DJ, and listen to loud music. Pretty girls walk through the club in short dresses with numbers on their hips. It is a lot of fun, until you realize that the subwoofers actually shake the walls in your room upstairs. Get a room on a high floor if possible. This was my second time in this hotel. I stayed here one night in 2010 and thought that it was a luxury hotel. Back then, everything was new and well maintained. Now, four years later, the hotel is getting old. I suspect that the owners are responsible for its decline. In my opinion, they could spend some money on the hotel. The owners of this hotel are very lucky. They have great employees who quickly and efficiently fix any problem. All staff, managers to reception personal to cleaning ladies, everyone is cheerful and helpful. I especially appreciated Wang Xiang Lan, Wei Liu Liu, Liang Li Qian, Wang Qi Fa, and Li Bin Rong. These are all good people. I felt at home here. I think that I was the only foreigner in the hotel. The staff took very good are of me. I really like this hotel.
