1 reviewWe visited Lijiang/Shuhe Old Town with two families of four (kids ages 9-13) and stayed in a family room and a family suite. Both were clean and spacious with plenty of room for 4. (The family room was listed for 3, but the second bed easily slept 2). The courtyard is beautiful and there are puppies to play with and fish to feed. The owner is the only one who speaks any English and he was here to check us in and answer questions. I don't think he will be here the whole time, but our basic Chinese and Google Translate is working so far. We seem to be the only Westerners around. The town is very walkable and can be seen in 1-2 hours. There seem to be bikes to rent to go to neighboring villages. The rooms provide a kettle but no tea or coffee so bring your own!
