Kunming Yunshui Hotel

I was stuck up at Kunming Airport after missing my connecting flights during a day of severe flight delays due to snow storm in Northern China. The China Eastern Airlines refused to help. Somehow I found this hotel by the help of the agents outside the airport terminal in Kunming. It is a family run hotel. The main advantage is that their cars are continuously plying between teh airport and hotel. They even gave me free rides in the morning when I had to visit the airlines office at airport for changing my ticket. The young guy Zhao is very friendly and can speak some English. The older Mr.Zhao is down to earth. Talked with them for long time to counter boredom. The rooms are better than standard compared to similar hotels around. The AC is good. The net speed is good. However, the WiFi speed in some remote corner rooms are a bit slow. The TV has Chinese channels , as normal in China for such hotels. There is a small Sichuan style food restaurant just opposite to this hotel. The dishes there are delicious and cheap. I hope to be back here during my long stopovers for connecting flights at Kunming.
