Water Hotel Pingyao

It is a lovely quaint hotel. They include pick up and drop off from the high speed railway station. The pick up and drop off was smooth and hassle free. The location is excellent. You are right in the middle of the historic town. So you are surrounded by quaint shops , everything is in walking distance, and you are just hundred metres away from the old fort which has a fabulous light and sound show. We were not aware of the show and sipping coffee comfortably at the coffee shop also owned by the hotel. The staff there asked us why were we not attending the show and that’s how we got to know about the show and boy! were we glad we did not miss it! The reception staff were very welcoming and sweet. They gave us maps and assistance through translated english to help us visit different tourist places, and farewell gifts too when we were leaving. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant they recommended and gave a discount voucher for. The room was lovely, neat and clean - Japanese style. There is an inner corridor/ room on the ground floor is very beautiful and I kept clicking photographs. And I have never seen such cute board signs for clean the room / do not disturb. I am still smiling as I write - have enclosed a photo.
