The Park Lane Hong Kong, Autograph Collection

As a Marriott Bonvoy elite member, we had options in Hong Kong. The reviews for Park Lane by other members was spot on and we could not have selected a better hotel for our stay. First, the location is very convenient to nearby restaurants and shopping in the Causeway Bay area. There were plenty of local restaurants to choose from and it definitely helped speaking Cantonese with the locals to get around town. The MTR (subway) is very nearby and a great way to get around either the Hong Kong side and to Kowloon (Tsim Tsa Tsui) and beyond. We had an Exec Room with access to the lounge with a view of Victoria Park and partial view of the Harbor. The furnishings (primarily the chairs) and motif of the hotel are a little retro 70's & 80's in a nice way - and the lobby has that quasi-dark lighting which could have been brighter but that's a personal taste thing. The room was very comfortable and what made it a nice stay for a week is housekeeping. Our housekeeper's name is "Miu" on the 21st floor and she was amazing. She kept the bathroom immaculate and even arranged our toiletries neatly on the counters and refreshed our room every day that made it a real joy to return in the late afternoons/evenings. Small touches that went a long way in making the room more than comfortable! The Exec Lounge was another nice perk with the food selections steady and high quality. Breakfast was an assortment of dim sum, congee, noodles, plenty of fresh fruit and western style options from the menu if you wanted. Evening snacks / hors d'oeuvres were also tasty, local Hong Kong fare, finger food, desserts etc. But what made it enjoyable were the staff. Truly, EVERYONE in the lounge deserves a shout out for friendly, attentive, customer centric service. From Samson, Grace, Jackson, Julia, Sandy and others' names I forget - ALL get a 10/10 for making us feel at home. Kane at the SKYE Rooftop bar was accommodating in letting us take pictures of the Harbor at dusk/evening and we didn't feel pressured to order lots of food or drinks, just a very welcoming feeling. Finally, it's great value for the price compared to the other Bonvoy options in Hong Kong. I highly recommend The Park Lane Hong Kong if you're visiting HK with family or for work. 5 stars all around!
