Yangtse River Eesir Zongguan Branch

The Eesir hotel is a very pleasant place to stay for a few days. It is conveniently placed for the high level railway station just across the road. The hotel is quite new and the rooms are large and very bright and modern looking. The beds, like most in China are very firm and the shower room is excellent. The immediate area surrounding the hotel is not spectacular and the view from the hotel window shows several different types of property some of which can only be described as slums. We had breakfast a few times at this hotel and it was adequate if not Western in style. The staff at the reception were polite and very helpful and were able to speak some English although there were sometimes a few communication difficulties. We took a trip in the high level train and got a good view of the different types of property in the Hankou area of Wuhan. We travelled about 8 stations west and visited a very nice park.
