27 reviewsI was part of a group of 22 New Zealanders who had travelled from Auckland new Zealand in one day. We needed to sleep and to excercise. My impression was that it was very easy to reach this hotel from the airport and that it was in a quiet location with a river nearby and a Buddhist Temple and associated park about 200m away. This was a wonderful introduction to Chengdu and to China. First impressions were of a very grand foyer featuring a double staircase and lots of sumperous velvet - cushions and drapes. Our room was spacious and had good connectivity with plenty of places to plug in gadgets. (our photography gear) 2 bottles of water were supplied and two types of tea were offered. The bed had feather duvets and the pillows suited me just fine. On past visits to China, pillows have been a probably being far too fat. We enjoyed a spacious well appointed bathroom. The group ate at the hotel. The breakfast buffet offered an amazing variety of food impressively displayed.
