Panda Hotel

The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to most of the attractions in the city. I was in a large fantastic room in Building #2 which faced one of street/alleys. It had a charming street /canal view and wasn't noisy at all. I was very impressed with the room...super clean, big, excellent wifi and the most comfortable bed I have had in China during my 3-week long visit in the country. The staff are very friendly but it seems  they don't speak much English.

English: No. We were told that the staff speaks some English, but they don't. No one understands English well at the reception but they try. One staff tried to help us though.
Location: Great. It's in middle of the complex. Getting to the hotel is tough but lots to do, eat, drink, shop nearby. We spend whole evening strolling, taking pictures, coffee in neighborhood.
Room: Great. Big rooms, nice clean comfortable beds, clean towels, TV, internet, water heater, hairdryer. Clean and compact washroom. Panda themed, so you'll see small pandas (plastic of course) here and there in the hotel. They also have a souvenir store, decent prices.
Breakfast: Chinese. No coffee/tea. But we managed to eat some porridge and cake.
Staff: Helpful, though they didn't speak our language they tried to help us and were very welcoming.

Good hotel, not enough english

Great Rooms and Location!

conveniently located between the panda research centre and the small town and the university where my guides went. The rooms themselves were passable and the amenities were replaced regularly but there was an issue with the drains leaving a strong and foul odour in the bathroom. The bathroom is a wet room but that is the same throughout China. 
However as a place to stay for a few nights it was acceptable. 


Simple rooms, shame about the smell...

The hotel is build in a old traditional  ancient building. Location is good to the main road. Unfortunately it is very difficult to locate the hotel as there is no sign on the main road as it is behind the building. There is no road to the hotel. You need to lug all your suitcase form the street as there are many steps to the hotel. Hotel inside done very nice- updated kohler features , rooms are decorated well and new furnishings. Front reception  need to improve as the staff speaks no English at all.  Need improvement on the sign and also a driveway to the hotel.
