Xinmin Hotel - Changchun

The hotel is very nice. It is quite obviously a top end hotel. The room was clean, but I was annoyed by the presence of half a dozen small flies in the bathroom. They weren't biting insects, so it was more an annoyance than anything else. They were slow and so it was easy to get rid of all of them, and the next day the one or two more that appeared. The room and the corridors were clean, but the edges in the bathroom and the carpets look a little bit shabby with wear. The bed was a hard bed, which is typical for most of Asia. The pillows were good - not too soft, not too firm. There was a tap for drinking water, which was a nice touch. The breakfast came with the room, and was ample. Not many Western choices - just bread for toasting and some rolls, and a few small choices of cereals. At least there was coffee, albeit from a small machine, not fresh brewed coffee. Would I stay there again? Yes. It was not far from parts of Jilin University, and the big public square. The room was comfortable, and the staff helpful, even though their English was limited.
