We hadn't any Asia travelling experience in the past and any expectations for the hotel as well. Jing Shui was a total surprise for us. First, because staff speak only few words in English but this is a overall tendency for Beijing. Second, because for 30 dollars per night we got clean, silent and comfotable room similar to what you can get in Europe if you pay 80 euro per night for 4 stars hotel. Good LCD screen with 62 TV channels (one in English), view to the TV tower, shining in the night, a little and cheap shop at the entrance and 10 minutes to go to subway station called Gongzhufen. Despite English speaking problems of the staff they called us a taxi beforehand and took all the luggage, were polite and precise. When we had problems with noises in ventillation system, they repaired it immediately. By the way, the hotel is not in the center of the city of course. You need to take 6 subway stations to Tiananmen Square, the central part but transportation is easy and not annying in Beijing, The airport is far away - 40 minutes on taxi (to pay 120 yuan or 17 dollars) or an hour on subway (they had special express to airport, 8 yuan, 5.30-23.00).
