Gite au Vieux Pommier

The owner was incredibly nice and made us feel very welcome. The place was nice, clean and cozy and in a perfect location to explore Tadoussac. Be aware that some rooms have a shared bathroom. We didn’t notice while booking, so that was a bit of a surprise upon arrival, but for one night it was ok. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you!

Very comfortable stay for my 11 year old son and I. The other guests were quiet and respectful. Comfy bed, great location. Good value. However would not recommend for those with mobility issues. Older buildings with steps and some uneven surfaces, slippery shower etc.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in late May. Since it was during the 'down season' the owner graciously upgraded us for free to her fancier hotel, right down the street. The owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. Beautiful views from the back balcony as well as inside the eating area. The room and bathroom were very clean, easy parking in the back, and the breakfast offered was top notch. We couldn't have been more happy with our stay. I would highly recommend staying here and we will stay here again when we return in the future.

My friend and I stayed in this beautiful, well maintained property while at Tadoussac. The owner, Mdm Ella (Bella) is truly an amazing host, super kind and helpful. The rooms are very beautiful, comfortable and decorated with great taste. The place is so quiet and serene. The price is the best in all of Tadoussac. This is a charming little inn.  Great location, decor and attention to detail.  Very comfortable, although I did have the largest room and I believe the only one with a private bathroom.  The hostess was very friendly and enthusiastic.  I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

The decor and ambience, along with the hospitality and cleanliness, are very good. Our room had a balcony right adjacent that looked out on the St. Lawrence. Pictures are somewhat deceptive - the buildings they show as visible from there, are not. Artisanal and somewhat eccentric furnishings, but some things are not maintained well - eg bathroom window that was half hanging loose and wouldn’t close. Slightly annoying that they insist on only eating at the main common room dining table, but provide nothing there except a fridge, water and kettle.If all this is okay with you, I would recommend it, but research other places nearby as there are many.

Madame was exceptionally warm and welcoming.The house itself is nestled in the heart of Tadoussac making it very convenient for all attractions.I have grown accustomed to an open en suite bathroom and this time shared with several others, not ideal.If breakfast had been included I would have given this place a 5/5.The only bakery in town was closed and other breakfast options are limited.Over all the best place in town to stay!Thank you.

Excellent value for money - best in Tadoussac

We received a warm welcome even though we arrived quite late in the evening. The next morning we were given a second welcome, with info about good places to eat and local amenities.The gite is very clean and the owners and staff are welcoming. The gite is close to the tourist area and features a second floor balcony so we could sit and "people watch" or read our books or have a drink and snacks.There is a lot of parking, hot water and the common areas are large. The hosts have thoughtfully provided useful items like plates, bowls, cups, kettle, etc. for guests' use.This is a great place to stay, but I would not recommend it for people with small children... there are too many fun decorations. Also, for older people, there are stairs and many area rugs.

Gite Au Vieux Pommier is an absolute delight in the magical backdrop of Tadoussac!!! My husband and I stayed there for a week, and it surpassed literally ALL of our expectations. The overall hospitality, cleanliness, comfort and amenities from this 3 star B&B, is worth a top 5 stars. What makes it super special is that it is maintained with so much love and care - which is felt in everything from the cozy decor down to the handwritten notes the family leaves you and the warm heart-felt help and daily services/upkeep offered. A beautiful home, with a first class breakfast. A warm welcome, inviting bedroom, shared bathroom facilities with onother guest room but superb hygiene standards by host with frequent cleaning throughout the day. Excellent lcation, very near shops and restaurants, but elevated enough to have lovely views out over the river. On site parking. Easy to find and close to other small towns and visitor attractions.

Best of both worlds

What a beautiful area to visit the village of tadousac is so historic. 
Great whale watching as well as the restaurants . Stayed a couple of days drove  around the Bay very beautiful .We may return again this summer. The people are friendly. I cannot say enough about this place, oh yes forgot a beautiful Sandy beach as well!! We stayed at a motel across the road from this picture 

Vacation 

Stayed for 2 nights to see whales and local area. B&B is well located for nearby restaurants and you can either be picked up for the whale watch (the host will arrange this) or walk down to the harbour, which we did as we enjoy walking! B&B is towards the top of the village and has good views over the village and towards the water from some rooms and outside decks.
Rooms are quite small by N American standards, but cosy and comfortable and we had a shared bathroom with another room which was no problem.
Good breakfast and helpful, welcoming host.
