It's my second time in Daniels Hostel. I have stayed in the female room with an own fridge. The room is super clean and all the time you have fresh air. You can open the window or turn the aircon on. It's a small and really nice Hostel. If you are looking for a quiet hostel where you can sleep really well, then it's the best place for this. Daniel cleans the room and the bathroom every day. He's a wonderful person. I love to stay in his hostel he is super friendly and helpful. The location of the hostel is perfect. 5 minutes walk to the central station, 5 minutes to a supermarket and really close to all shopping streets. I can absolutely recommended this hostel.

I stayed at a lot of backpackers, but this backpacker was the best backpacker.
Also Wi - Fi is strong enough to come to your room and the kitchen can be used for 24 hours. The staff will care a lot in various ways


Well first off, it's a hostel, you have to lower your expectations. It had a good location, right in the center everything worth seeing was in walking distance with plenty of stores for everything you needed. There was a mini fridge in the room but it didn't work which made eating cheap a hassle since you couldn't buy anything perishable. I could have done without the poop stained toilet seat and the half empty coffee cup on the toilet. No one really seemed interested in talking or making friends which I didn't really care about. To put it simply, it's a hostel in a good location that offers a place to stay. If you want more than that shell out for a hotel or apartment.

A wonderful hostel with a lovely owner

A place to stay

My best place

Layers of dust everywhere;on bench tops inside dorm rooms, in the kitchen, lounge room & even on all cooking & eating utensils. Manager refuses to turn on air con during Summer time, flies, cockroaches & mosquitoes are visible in kitchen & lounge room with garbage overflowing bins without using garbage bags. No vacuum cleaning at all! I had to make my own bed with linens given after checking in. No fly screens in kitchen & range hood not working at all! Owner refused to provide portable fans for use unless guest had to repeatedly asked during Summer time. I paid almost A$400 for 8 nights stay & when I asked for our room's air con to be turned on, I got told by management to piss off & go to stay at the Hilton Hotel instead !!!

The worst backpacker hostel at all times !!

This hostel is far from a bad one but is really different from the others I could stay in around the area. It is not a big organisation but I think the manager is doing his best at all time even though he’s weird. I recommend if you’re looking for something more cosy. 

Not like the other hostel in this area 

Disgusting. Horrible service, difficult manager with a bad attitude. You are forced to pay cash & not even given a receipt. When you ask for a receipt the manager responded 'don't be difficult'. Will be reporting this.
