Laura's Lodge

Staff were helpful and accommodating. Kitchen area was nice. Bathroom was fine

I recently spent two weeks at Laura's Lodge while my Mexican work crew went through their 14 day isolation. My experience during this time was excellent. Cathy and Gord were excellent hosts, and the support staff was amazing ... they made me dizzy with their work ethic!
The facilities are clean and well kept, and the staff were without fail happy and helpful.
The shared common areas were a great place to meet new people, and I found in general other guests were courteous, some more friendly than others but that is the way it should be when you are randomly meeting strangers, and especially with the Covid thing going on.
I would recommend Laura's Lodge to anyone, and it will be my first choice of accommodation if and when I need a relaxing and secure place to stay.

Had a family member having surgery at Royal University Hospital.  Laura’s Lodge was a great place to stay.  My vehicle could remain parked at the lodge and I could just walk over for visiting at the hospital each day.  A concern came up while I was here and the staff responded to my questions thouroughly and promptly.  This is a wonderful, clean, cost effective option to utilize while helping to support someone in the hospital.  A great place to stay.

Very cute and quaint. Easy walking access to the University Hospital. They allowed extra parking for free after checkout to help save on parking fees. Everything was clean and tidy. Free WIFI. Overall, a great stay!

This was a warm comfortable place to stay. Right across the street from the university hospital. Extremely clean and comfortable. It is an excellent place to stay when you have a loved one or you yourself are going into the hospital. There’s a communal kitchen to prepare something to eat or make yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee.

Good value for those who are looking for very economical clean lodging.  Well kept shared bathroom. Close to Saskatchewan University for students and 5 minute walk direct access to downtown. Very quiet.

I have stayed at Laura's Lodge many times. And I hope they stay in business so that I can continue to go back. They have great rates, it's impeccable, and it feels welcoming and safe. I requested assistance to adjust the air conditioning and the staff aided immediately and to my satisfaction.

For someone who is looking for good value in Saskatoon, look no further!  I had to go to Saskatoon to be with a family member who was getting surgery, and I was so thankful to find someplace so close to the hospitals, as well as to the downtown.  

I was very impressed with the cleanliness....no wonder....I saw their (very friendly) staff cleaning multiple times throughout the day.  I would venture to say that this was one of the cleanest lodging establishments I have ever stayed at.

The kitchen/living room combination was very comfortable...the kitchen was fully equipped, with beautiful newer appliances, with plenty of space to store my food.  The couches were comfortable and the whole living area had a really "homey" feel.  

The staff appeared to be well chosen, as they were all very friendly and accommodating.  I felt that they all took "ownership" of the business.

I would highly recommend this place for students (close to the university), hospital visitors, as well as tourists and business people....very well located and it's so nice to be able to not have to  rely on restaurants...a real money saver with respect to room price as well as with respect to being able to provide your own food.

I would not hesitate to stay here again if the need arises.

I commend the owners for their very well run business!  Bravo!

Tucked in beside the University and the riverside walking trails this is a gem! Not a typical "hotel" as you do have a communal area which is like a large comfy living room/kitchen to spend time in and meet other guests if this is what you want. The bathrooms were very clean but be aware they are down the hall from you room. Bed was super comfy and I would recommend this location to anyone.

An Oasis in a desert of difficult times!

Hospital visits??  You gotta stay here!!!

Close to the RUH

My wife and I only spent a day, our last full day, in Saskatoon and this was an ideal place to stay for a single night. The room is quite small but cute as it holds a desk, a wardrobe, and a bed. The staff provide a heater and a fan which helped as it was very hot in the room, although the whole place is air conditioned. There is a communal bathroom which is interesting in the middle of the night, but it is very clean and a nice place to stay. Unfortunately, the one night we stayed there was not a good night for the hostel as the door bell was rung a lot at 4am, but I received a text message apologizing for the disturbances the next day, which was very sweet and very good by the hostel staff. It is used as a place to stay when visiting someone at the hospital as it is very close and also very cheap, another reason it was chosen by my wife and I to stay for the one night. Overall, I would recommend a stay at this hostel.

A Nice Stay

Amazing value!  Impeccably clean!

I stayed here one night when I just needed basic accommodation for one night prior to a morning meeting near the University of Saskatchewan.  This hotel is essentially a boarding house with residence-style accommodation.  There was a shared bathroom on our floor, and no TV in the room.  But the room the clean, the WiFi worked well, and the location was perfect.

Charm and character, like staying in a nice home.

I had a very short, but comfortable stay. Check in was easy and the employee was friendly and informative. The accommodations were clean and quiet, and despite having shared washrooms, they appeared to be very clean. The room I stayed in did not ha e a TV, but the WIFI connection too was excellent so if you have a tablet or laptop, you could easily watch Netflix without any problems. The kitchen and common narea was clean and modern, and there was tea, coffees and bottled water provided. I would definitely stay again, as the price was very fair for what you're getting. If you're looking for accommodations without the frills, stay here.

Clean, comfortable, affordable without the frills

If you need a place to the U of S or University hospital - and don't mind shared accomodations - this is the place. It is right across the street from the hospital. It's faster to get to most parts of the hospital by walking from Laura's Lodge than parking at the hospital. It's also relatively inexpensive. On the down side, all you get is a room. The bathrooms and kitchen and living room are shared with the other guests. There are no TVs in the bedrooms, only 1 in the living room. The facility is well maintained and clean, but the furnishings and bedding is very old. The free wi-fi is nice.

Close to the Hospital; Shared Accomodations

The staff is awesome and pretty flexible in terms of check in/out. The hotel is very clean. Although the bathroom is shared but it is kept super clean all the time. The room is renovated, clean and spaceous. The only annoying thing for me was that the room is not sound proof so it was not a quiet stay. Yet, I will use it in the future.
