Great time even though was a pain at start.  Fantatsic place to stay

Sparkling clean property, very clear instructions and communication.

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of March. Location was excellent, easy to walk downtown to harbour, restaurants, museums and bus stop right outside. 3 bedrooms were great for the 4 of us. Easy check in and used the luggage storage. Kitchen was convenient for breakfast - we went to the No Frills in Woodside on the ferry for some groceries. Honestly, hard to find anything to complain about …. Need some hooks in the bathroom for towels and a teapot! There was noise on the Thursday evening from the night club. Would recommend staying here.

Location was great, it was an easy walk to lots of restaurants, bars, and activities. The room itself was comfortable, including the beds. Missed having a coffee maker (even a French press would have been great) as instant coffee is pretty bad. Since it’s a self service hotel, it’s used for parties, so keep in mind it can be loud into the early hours of the morning. I wouldn’t recommend here if you have kids or you are a light sleeper. It was great for us, since we could have a group over before we all headed out for the evening. I’d definitely stay here again.

The property was nice and clean, right in the middle of the city easy walking distance to dowtown shops and restaurants, nightlife, Cons would be the noise, which they mention and provide earplugs for, we initially had a harbour front room, but they “upgraded us to a suite which was in the back of the building over top of a nightclub, Friday, Sat, not a great upgrade but through the week probably fine. Bed was really hard, but it was clean, we parked at the scotia arena garage which was close to a km away and parking can be pricey so add an extra 30$ daily to your stay.

Fantastic fully equipped 2-bedroom apartment conveniently located for our Mother-Daughter trip. Will stay again. Those who give this property lower reviews have had unnecessary complaints because they did not read the communications. Immediately upon booking, the property management sends an email to advise that there is no onsite parking however paid parking options are a very short walk away. They openly share that the hotel is attached to a bar (The Pint) and there it is loud (on weekends until 2am), so you can change your mind. The 2-bedrooms are at the front of the property so this is not an issue, however you can hear other units. Lastly, they also indicate - quite clearly - that check-in is 100% electronic. We liked this and it was easy. There are complimentary laundry facilities on every other floor. The beds are comfortable. And, the units are modern. Not to mention, great value.

Great Value

The property was great once we got into the building. The main door code wouldn’t work and the hotel said there is a number we can contact if their are issues. Unfortunately this number is also automated. Told us to re check in and we will get another code. The issue is if you do not have your confirmation number there is no way to reset the code. My phone had died trying to sort the codes out. Luckily other guests were able to let me into the building and our suite code worked fine. I understand there is no staff working at the hotel and why that can make the price cheap. Eventually it comes down to a safety issue.Being locked out of the hotel late a night would not he ideal for any person. Cell phones get lost, stolen or broken. Hotel should provide a landline phone in the lobby to talk to a human on the other end to help problem solve door codes.

Halifax as a whole was amazing. Loved how walkable everything was, and the restaurants and bars were fab!The property inside was perfect, had everything we needed and was very well equipped. It was made clear in the description about the noise at the weekend, so i knew to expect it to be noisy, but really didnt expect it to be right outside our window. It was so loud it sounded like the window was open. The supply of ear plugs did help though so thank you for those. For a business trip in the week or a group of people who are going out on the town on the weekend, I think these suites are perfect.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights on a girls’ weekend. The place was well equipped, spacious, comfortable and clean. It’s very conveniently located a short walk from the waterfront, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.Two downsides, which weren’t deal-breakers but worth noting:- Bring earplugs if you can’t sleep through noise. The building is brick and concrete and noise from both outside and inside echo loudly throughout the space at all hours. I could very clearly hear conversations in the suites beside, above and below. And they weren’t yelling.- To complete self check-in, you need Cameo’s booking confirmation code - NOT your Hotels.com booking number. This information was not included in the confirmation details and I couldn’t get it using Hotels.com help chat. I had to call Hotels.com’s help line at (800) 246-8357. Even then, I had to explain what I needed multiple times. Not the fault of Cameo - just not a great user experience.

Great space… but two caveats

Room was located next to washing machines and dryers. This was quite loud while in use but bearable. Property had all the amenities to make it an enjoyable downtown stay without the huge price tag that comes with most options for the area. Parked in a nearby Parkade that was a quick walk down the street and was also lower priced for the area. Will definitely use this location again.

I liked that the hotel felt like a bachelor apartment rather than a hotel room. I liked that laundry facilities were available for use, and that there was a kitchen to allow for eating in.The sheets were a bit low on thread count and could have been a bit softer, and I would have appreciated if one of the pillows was thinner. Various pillow types would give more flexibility for personal preferences.All in all, I really enjoyed the suite.

Great central location but was quite loud on Sunday evening (as we were warned). Earplugs were provided and the week days were ok. Checking in was challenging through hotels.com as it wasn’t easy to find our booking confirmation number. I figured it out but might be difficult for those who are not tech savvy.
