Torbay Cottages

When I travel on business or pleasure I find that what  makes the trip comfortable and memorable are the people. The cottages are excellent, perfect for our golf getaway and even better for families or a couples getaway. What truly makes the experience memorable are the people, the hosts Bridget and Tim do everything they can to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible, they make you feel special. It's not every day that you encounter genuine people who sincerely appreciate your business. If your reading this and wondering if you should select Torbay, rest assured you should and you won't be disappointed,

I was in North Bay for business and stayed in Cottage #5. My cottage was clean, cozy and rustic.. The people of North Bay were gracious, and Bridget and Tim were the perfect hosts.The Fall leaves were amazing, and I was pleased to find out they are open all year.  I will be back.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at these cottages for a weekend early fall and found the cottage, location and owners to be great!  We would stay there again and recommend to others.  Our dog also had a great time!  :)

We loved it here!  We rented a cute little 2 bedroom cottage for 2 weeks in August.  The cottage was a bit rustic but cozy and very clean with a well equipped kitchen and BBQ.  The Sandy beach is fabulous and great for walking down to sunset Park,  and the sunsets from the dock are worth the visit alone. 
The location is perfect as you can walk to the lcbo and grocery stores and great restaurants. I highly recommend the White Owl Bistro. 
We have already made plans to return next year!

Nice little cottage on fabulous beach

We checked into our cottage and decided to go down to the beach with the children , when we came down the path there  were 10 to 12 people drinking and smoking at the picnic tables .on the beach There are coffee cans that contain sand and cigarette butts on all the tables  , We had 3 on our picnic table at our cottage and none of  us smoke  It was more of a party spot than a family cottage.   Around 2:30 a.m I was woken by 2 women knocking over a large metal planter and plant while they were arguing with each other  They appeared to be from the party on the beach earlier . The new owners have begun some repairs to make the cottages look nice but some safety issues that the owners showed us were the uneven boards  and nails that the children and ourselves would trip on or scrape our feet on the dock  My brother-inlaw hammered a nail into the board  , with a rock , on the picnic table so it would not tip up when we leaned on it. Parking is very limited and hard for drivers to manover because of the closeness of cedar trees that devide Torbay suites from Torbay cottages. Free wifi is only free if it works  or stays on . One morning we woke to find our fridge had quit and everything was warm and had to be thrown out . When I let one of the owners know , he brought us a dirty bar fridge from storage , it had no shelves , so once again I went to ask for shelves which were dirty as well .  On the last morning I saw the same owner and ask if we could get a role of toilet paper (which we had been buying) , he rudely said we supply the first day (2 and a half roles for 6 people for 7 days) . I foolishly thought they wouldn't mind 1 roll of paper for all the meat and food we had to throw out because of the fridge, this was the same fridge we had 6 or 7 years previously that didn't keep food cold back then . They still have the dirty bowl under the dripping pipe under the sink that was dripping back then. I think next time we will stay at Sunset Park Cottges for our next family  vacation, Alma Ostler
