This is a well above-average small inn distinguished by its hospitality, reasonable accommodations and outstanding dining. The location near the lake is a plus -- you can swim -- and it is ideal for bicyclists seeking an overnight stay along le Petit Train du Nord. 

The absolute BEST stay on the “P’tit Trail”! Super hospitable Cecille & Tony… warm, welcoming and always accommodating! Cosy clean bedrooms. Bar with excellent cocktails on premises as is their awesome dining room and fine food/ wine list. Superb breakfast! Great location on the trail itself!!! One stop heaven in Nominique!

This was a great family run auberge. Lovely host helped by her daughter. The accommodation was great after a long day’s cycle. The home made dinner was so delicious. And they had some yummy cherry beer (and others). I would definitely stay here again!!!

Cécile and Tony are the most hospitable hosts. And their auberge is a wonderful place to stay -- access to the Lake, a beautiful garden, a screened in porch around the house, nice rooms. And maybe most remarkably, their dinners and breakfast exceed all expectations.

Great host, lovely inn with lake access and beautiful garden for hanging out outside (including a hot tub). Has everything you need and the room was clean and comfy, but honestly, I would have slept in the shed just to get the meals - the food is that good. You must book dinner here and don't skip out on breakfast - the food is fabulous!

We loved staying here!  Cecile and her friend, Marie, welcomed us and went above and beyond to make all guests feel cared for.  Cecile tracked down our lost luggage,  then drove to retrieve it!!

We loved the grounds, the dock (with chairs and kayaks), and the breakfast and dinner.  We were biking on the trail and this inn is right off the trail.  I was also pleased when the owner offered to make me an expresso when we arrived.  We can't wait to stay here again.

We stopped at Chez Ignace as part of a cycling trip on Le P'Tit Train du Nord trail.  After a long day in the saddle Cecile and Tony looked after us like we were family - calling us by name when we walked in the door.  Our room was clean and comfortable.  After a swim in the lake and a cold beer in the back yard we were treated to a gourmet meal on the screened in porch.  Our bikes were stored safely in a shed that was literally steps from the trail.  Breakfast was another treat in the morning before we continued on our way.  Merci Beaucoup Cecile & Tony.

We arrived at Chez Ignace after a long day of riding the shuttle bus from St-Jérôme then cycling 58km. We were warmly greeted by Cécile and Tony who helped us settle into small but comfortable rooms. Some of us opted for a swim in the lake (private access just across the road) before a soak in the hot tub, shower and hearty dinner. There were delicious dinner options for the pescatarians, vegetarians and strict vegan in our group. Breakfast was equally filling and beautifully presented with impeccable service from Cécile and Tony. We have stayed elsewhere in Nominingue before but this will be our first choice next time we ride Le P'tit Train du Nord. Highly recommend! Merci Cécile et Tony!

Friendly, accommodating hosts in a quaint old home right on the P'
tit Train du Nord bike trail. The dinners and breakfasts were delicious, and the hot tub was welcome
after a day of riding. This was the best accommodation we had along the trail.

Exceptional kindness and hospitality!

Great stop after a day of cycling with access to lake for a cool off, before lovely home cooked dinner. We chose to have our dinner there and we were very glad we did . Rooms small but charming . The owners really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Breakfast simple but substantial and served beautifully. Highly recommend

Beautiful family run bed and breakfast

Cecile and Tony go far beyond others in their hosting and meal preparation. They both convey a welcoming warmth and desire to help. 

Cecile was so very patient in advising us how to get our bikes and trikes (seven in our group) in their shed. That was important after a long hot day on the trail. Tony was also welcoming and engaging in conversation.  

Their meals - evening and morning - were far beyond our expectations. They showed great skill in the tradition of French cooking. The sauce with the roast pork was exquisite!! Along with that was Tony’s ease in serving drinks and food.  

The “last course” was an evening stroll across the road along a private path to lac Nominingue. It was an enchanting, peaceful experience. 

In summary, you will be delighted with your stay!  This is a wonderful gem of true hospitality!

High quality lodging, hosting, and cuisine!

We were there on the Petit Train de Nord.  You exit the path right into their back garden! No problem finding them.   They are at Km 142 so your first day is a 58 km ride and this is after an early start and a 2 hour  bus trip to Mont Laurier.  It  is a long day.
I would suggest that you  stay two days and spend the next day doing a 32 km tour of Lac Nominingue , a 22 km square  lake and/or enjoy the kayaks and/or rest after your first day of cycling.  The problem with the Petit Train is that there is little  time to explore.
The meals are great and the hosts congenial.
I would suggest a room on the second floor.. They are nicely renovated. 
 I regret not asking another couple to share one of the bottles  wines from their vineyard in  France.  However if you stayed two nights, the hosts  would probably let you save half the bottle for the second night's dinner.

What a lovely location and bed and breakfast. The backyard space is beautifully set up to lounge in the sunshine with a drink after a long day of biking on the P’tit Train Du Nord. The room had everything we needed and the owners were incredibly kind and forgiving of our terrible French. There is a cute walkway to the beach for a dip in the lake. And then there’s the food. Honestly, so mind blowingly good and the portions are incredibly generous. Highly recommend staying and eating here!

Perfect spot after a long day

Wonderful stay at Auberge St Ignace, our first stop on the P’tit train du nord trail. Delightful hosts, they made us feel very welcome. Although the room was a little small, we appreciated the excellent food and service. We felt it was good value. Vegetarian options were available for dinner and the breakfast was just what we needed to head back out on the trail. We would have liked to use the kayaks on the lake only the weather was not as accommodating as the hosts!
