Awesome as always!! My Nelson home away from home.

The property manager Debbie is excellent in customer care. She sent me a message prior to my arrival informing me of her role. When I contacted her for a kettle during my stay, she responded and took care of my ask in a timely fashion. My experience of staying in this lovely nostalgia house was cosy and comfortable.

Amazing little suite. Cute and cozy with every amenity you can think of. Love this place!

Loved the old character of the beautiful charming house. Very walkable to amazing restaurants. The only thing to note, it is not quiet as it’s right next to a highway off ramp/busy road, also can easily hear guests is other rooms and above with the creeky floors but guests did a good job during quiet hours. Host was very helpful with local info and exploring nearby ski areas.

The lights around the patio are nice but also invasive in the bedroom. If u replace the missing blind on the east side of the building so the lights don’t shine in it would be very nice👍

Pretty much my home away from home the past few months. It is always nice to have a full kitchen. Great as always.

Very comfortable place to stay. Lots of great dining choices steps from the door!!

The property was nice. In a great location for dining and shopping. The kitchen was furnished with the necessities and had complimentary coffee and tea. Loved the deck with the suite. Lots of stairs to our suite so not good if mobility challenged.

What a wonderful guest house stay we had! Booked the upper Falls suite room. There is not one negative thing I can say. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Private entrance. Easy check-in process. Walking distance to Anything you’d like to experience in Nelson. I am absolutely pleased!

We loved this beautiful, charming guesthouse.  The building was so lovely especially the front porch looking over the gardens with plenty of comfortable seating.
Beds were very comfortable, rooms were spotless and we were able to do a load of laundry which was helpful.
The location was fabulous.  We could walk downtown in a minute yet it was still a quiet for sleeping at night.
We  will definitely book again on our way through BC.

DELIGHTFUL GUESTHOUSE

Kathy Ann (the owner) was very nice.  Readily available with any questions we had.  The attention to detail in the room such as the furnishings, beddings, coffee and tea for our use as well as a basket of goodies (olive oil, noodles and sauce were a nice touch.  Especially if you get in late and haven't had dinner.  The location was wonderful, right in the center of town.  Everything in walking distance.  We would definitely stay there again.  Highly recommend!!!

The hotel is in a great location and comfortable.  I only have 2 complaints.  The first complaint is using the key pad in the dark is a problem since there is no light on the key pad.  The other is we could not get the tv to work after the 3 rd day.  We did everything they recommended we do and it worked after some hassles the first two days but no matter what we did on the 3 rd day we could not get it to work.  Everything else about the place was fine.  They had left coffee to make, had enough dishes to cook with had olive oil to use which was all great.  The bed was comfortable, the layout of the room was nice.  A few tweaks to the place would make it great.

Nelson getaway

We stayed in the Veranda Suite and loved it for the porch with the garden view. The room was spacious and the kitchen was well appointed and we cooked several meals in. Check in was easy and we loved that there was some parking on site. Great place for dogs as well. We did bring in a carpet from our car for them to lay on as it's all hardwood.

My sister and I escaped to Nelson for a little sisters retreat, and we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. The Victoria Falls Guest House was perfect for us. It was charming and clean and perfect for our needs. We were also delighted to discover that it was truly within walking distance of almost everything. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Falls Guest House. The suite we had was neat, clean and comfortable. The proximity to Baker St shopping and eating was superb. We managed to walk to many things that we were interested in doing for our short weekend stay. The floors are a little squeaky but it is an old house so that should be expected. It wasn't a problem for us but I worried that the people below might be bothered. We slept with the windows open since this October has been so gorgeous and there was some street noise on Saturday night but that is to be expected. You are going to get that at any of hotels near Baker St. Definitely recommend booking this guest house.

Great location, Clean & Comfortable

Our second visit to Nelson and to the Victoria Falls Guest House and both as good as ever. Nelson is fascinating place both in terms of its setting on Lake Kootenay and with its heady mixture of frontierism and flower power. Awash with interesting stores along Main Street, a large co-operative supermarket like no other we've ever visited and a jumbo community recreation centre, there is something for everyone plus a jumping off point for touring the Selkirk mountains. Kaslo north along the lake is an absolute must.

Victoria Falls Guest House fits right into the Nelson style. A traditional building split into self-contained apartments it offers the comforts of home right at the head of Main Street, making everywhere walkable. Clean, well maintained and with all mod cons we enjoyed our stay and will certainly be trying to make it back to Nelson and the Guest House before too long.
