Séminaire Marie-Reine-du-Clergé

This was booked as part of our bike ride tour around the lake: it's an old high school with a wing redesigned into bedrooms - kind of strange?! Rooms were spacious enough with a very (very) simple shower/toilet/sink in a tiny closet. Hot water a little touchy - don't flush and shower simultaneously. Breakfast was in the downstairs cafeteria with about 50 children/teens attending a Musical Camp on the other side of the high school in the summer so cafeteria line-up with kids from all over Canada - french toast, cereal, etc. One problem: unreliable "concierge" at front entrance - sometimes there, sometimes not there. The "fob" to get back into the building did not work so luckily there was a musical concert that evening and others were entering so we got back in with them. Bikes were left out in the open behind a little wall, but luckily were not stolen throughout the day/night. Rooms were private and quiet enough - I think there was only another family in the entire complex with us overnight so could not have been quieter. Nothing at all fancy, but clean and quiet. Highway out front makes for a noisy night with trucks all night long. Not walkable to much of anything so need a car or bike to get into town for food and groceries.
