Motel Lac St-Jean

The final night of my solo cycle trip was booked by Equinox into the Motel Lac St. Jean located between Chambord and Desbiens right on the shore of the lake and directly accessible from the Veloroute des Bluets. As other reviewers have noted, the location is beautiful with the rooms looking out over the lake. I got in around 1 pm, was able to get into my room right away and bring my bike inside. The manager was very helpful, offered me a Smile Cookie and lent me a kettle so that I could boil water for my tea. He also gave me a breakfast box since, with the COVID-19 precautions, this would be my only interaction with him during my stay (barring an emergency). In the fridge in my room was a bottle of orange juice, an apple and a bottle of water. On the table were a coffee maker, toaster, paper plates and cups, three slices of fresh bread along with packets of butter, jams, and peanut butter. The breakfast box included yogurt, blueberries, granola, a large muffin and cheese. I should also note that the room was very clean, quiet and had a TV and internet. This was one of my favourite overnight stops during my five day cycle around Lac St. Jean.
