It was perfect for my need at the time to stop and rest!  The motorways are not too close but… The tidal bore was disappointing and not worth watching!  That was one of the reasons for being here!

With this property, you cannot judge a book by its cover. When we arrived at the property I was a bit concerned because there were waist high weeds and dead plants everywhere, making the property look tired and neglected. However, we decided to check in anyway and see what the room was like and go from there. First, the gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and nice. Then when we opened the door to our room, we were pleasantly surprised. The room, including the bathroom, was very clean, there were plenty of towels, it had a fridge and microwave, and the beds were comfy, so of course we decided to stay. You can sit on the provided chairs on the lawn and watch the tide from the Bay of Fundy come in, which is the main reason we made reservations there. It was also very quiet and close to restaurants and shops. There’s a building on the property that used to be a restaurant but I think it’s permanently closed. It also has weeds growing everywhere around it. If the owners would put a little more effort into cleaning up around the buildings and the landscape, this hotel would truly be a gem.

Although an older establishment, our room was spotless and obviously has been renovated recently. The room size was good. We appreciated the table and chairs by the window overlooking the Salmon River at the bottom of the hill. Bill, the manager, was friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the fact that the efficient and thorough housekeeping staff-person found a charger that we left behind and kept it for us!Price and location were major factors in staying there, too.Happy with our choice.

Upon check-in i was greeted with a smile by the gentleman behind the counter, and was a very positive interaction. Very welcoming and transparent. The room was extremely clean, as my fiancée and i are what some people may call germaphobe lol so 5 stars there without a doubt. And the property was in a good location to the Tim Snortons and WackDonald’s. even had a nice view of the salmon river on the hillside. They do not allow smoking near the rooms as the air conditioner or open windows and doors wont expel nasty smoke smells into your room, instead they have a nice section for smokers just away from the rooms with a nice seating arrangement with a great sunset view. So they accommodate very well. I would stay again if i am ever in the area. Thanks for taking pride in your establishment and maintaining such a high standard in cleanliness. Very rare today.

We recently stayed at the Tidal Bore Inn in Truro for one night, and it was a fantastic experience. The inn is absolutely beautiful, offering a charming atmosphere. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free, making our stay even more pleasant.The rooms were cute and cozy, equipped with A/C to ensure comfort regardless of the weather. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered to enhance the guest experience. I highly recommend the Tidal Bore Inn for anyone looking for a delightful stay in Truro.

this is our second day this summer and like the last time, this was a perfect day. Check-in was fast and easy. The room was clean. They had actually done a lot of exterior painting since we were here last and it looks wonderful. I have very little to complain about because the price is very reasonable and it is well enough maintained good value for a safe and comfortable place to stay while in town.

We stayed here one night in July 2024.  We have stayed here a number of times before and have always had a good experience.  We booked a ground floor drive up room and we’re in room #6, where we have stayed several times previously.  

There is a small fridge, microwave oven, television, and air conditioning unit in the room, and they all worked great.  It was very warm out, and the room was quickly cooled down.  

We had reservations and check in was quick and pleasant, and there is a key drop to leave your key for early departures, which we did.

The room was exceptionally clean and spotless, front to door to the bathroom.  While not a new motel, it appears to be well maintained and kept very clean.  The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the not too thick pillows.  The rooms are very quiet, and we never have a problem sleeping there.

Our favorite part of this motel is the view and the atmosphere.  There are a number of chairs on the front lawn with a great view and it is a very nice place to relax and have a cold beverage after a long day of travelling.  A number of other guests felt the same way, and we met some great people who were staying there who were out sitting and having a beverage or two.

On top of all this, the room prices are very reasonable and the location is great.  Easy to get on and off the highway, but also close to a number of restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, and other services.  

I definitely recommend this motel and we will stay here again.

Another Great Stay

Airport hotels were charging a fortune so I decided I’d try this motel which was less than half the price of airport hotels and only 40 mins away. I was pleased I did, we got a very clean, comfortable room with a friendly welcome. It was quiet with all of Truro’s amenities close by.  I won’t be paying a fortune for a basic soulless airport hotel room ever again.

A good choice 

Myself and a friend stayed here for 1 night as we were passing through....wow!!!! The managers were superb!! 
They were so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much for them!!! 
They helped us out when we were trying to get travel information. 
The rooms were spotless and beds were so comfortable. 
We have stayed in places far more expensive but no where near as nice, clean and friendly!!! 
Cannot thank them enough!!!

A down home inn, with lovely staff and everything you need! Has its quirks, but makes up for it with everything else.
