As we were in Mirabel for 2 days we decided to stay in a BB for the first time and we have no regret, the location is great close to the Montreal Premiums Outlet (15 min), the owner is really nice, room nice and clean and morning breakfast was excellent and I ever go back in that region I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Nice stay in a BB

My husband and I stayed for 1 night at this B&B in september 2015. 
The house is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, with a few restaurants, gasstations and supermarkets within a short driving distance.
You can park on the driveway.

On the backside of the house is a cosy garden with a small non-heated pool and  a terrace.

We had the Chambre Lavende (Lavender room), which was a very quiet, clean, big room with a very comfortable queen bed, a seating area with a small table and armchairs,a fan, a TV, and a private bathroom with a combination bath/shower, a sink and a toilet.
There was free Wifi too.

The conversation with our hostess Marie-Hélène at the breakfast table was a bit akward. This had nothing to do with language, as we can speak French as well as English, it was the general mood.

Marie-Hélène is a widow since a year, and she exuded sadness. 
We completely understand how tough it is to lose your partner and beloved one, but that made it difficult for us to make light conversation.                                                 This is also the reason why I'm giving an "average" rather than a "very good" rating.

Marie-Hélène's breakfast cannot be faulted though : there were eggs, fruitjuice, yoghurt, fruitsalad with fresh figs, croissants and delicious small peach pies.

Upon reservation we were made aware that the payment was to be in cash, so this was not an issue for us. 

We had a good stay here and wouldn't mind coming back should we be in the area ; although maybe this B&B will not be open for many more years, as Marie-Hélène said that the upkeep on her own was getting too demanding.

Good location, good breakfast, good value

We chose La Provencale for its lovely online images, reasonable room rate and proximity to St. Jerome as we were meeting a cycling group there for an early departure the next morning. The B&B is in a suburban neighbourhood with a small playground and park in the rear. We found no restaurants, grocery stores or shopping of any kind within easy walking distance. The room that we were assigned was at the front of the house. It was very small, i.e. the queen sized bed dominated the room. The corners of the bed frame were extremely sharp and we frequently collided with the them. The room was equipped with a ceiling and floor fan which provided adequate cooling. It also had a small TV. The room was clean and tidy however, the finishes, i.e. furniture, window coverings and bedding were showing signs of wear. The bathroom was very small with a shower stall only - no bathtub. Together with the stark overhead lighting and the slightly garish paint, the room left a poor first impression. The public spaces appeared to be shared with the family. We did not use the pool. We speak little or no French and our host spoke very little English. We have learned however, that with a sense of humour and a bit of effort, we can usually understand and be understood. Our host however, seemed reluctant (perhaps shy and unable) to help bridge the gap. She called on her son to speak to us which helped but still felt awkward as he was not versed in the local amenities, i.e. restaurants. The host does not accept credit cards. We had to go in search of a bank for cash which we found to be inconvenient. We felt that this should have been explained at the time of our reservation. We were served a continental breakfast with orange juice, coffee, granola, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and delicious pastries, including fresh croissants. Our host joined us for breakfast. She did not eat but sat with us. It felt like a conciliatory gesture on her part but unfortunately, because of the language barrier and perhaps a bit of social awkwardness on the part of the host, the conversation was stilted and somewhat lessened our enjoyment of the breakfast. As we were leaving, she offered us an omelette which again seemed a little awkward given that we had finished what was initially offered and were clearly preparing to leave the table. We typically enjoy staying in a home environment and like the opportunity to meet and interact with our hosts but this experience felt awkward and lacked the warmth that we've come to expect from our B&B stays. La Provencale (and host) have potential but it simply isn't there yet. We won't be back.

Disappointing

Looked at reviews on another site... They all said that the place was terrific.
The place is nice, there is a nice garden, it is quiet and easily accessible. Easy parking.
Got there, surprise: the towels looked greyish... Which indicates that they have not been bleached.
Made the mistake of taking a small room (9'-8"x 12'-0"), so you  bang yourself either on the bed or the TV support, the TV is a small one. The shower is very small. A suggestion take the big room.
The breakfast was so so, the pie was OK although a bit dry which indicates that it was not too fresh, the orange juice was kind of sour at the limit I would say. There was no fruit as I read on previous comments made by visitors.
The bed was firm.
