We spent the night here while traveling between North Pole and Haines, Alaska. Our room was spotless and comfortable. WiFi worked well and the woman at the front desk was very nice.   It was priced right, too. Probably our best rate along the Alcan.  Would definitely stay there again.

Good Stay

Very nice room for 3 nights on the 2nd. Floor.  Outstanding view of the St. Elias Mountains of the Kluane National Park.  Nice bed, clean sheets, good sized room and plenty of hot water.  Motel is back far enough from the Alaska Highway that there is no bother from highway traffic.  Will certainly stay here again.  Nice owners.

Great place to stay and great area to visit.

This is a budget motor inn.  The price was right.  The room was very clean and they provided good coffee in the room.  
There is a restaurant on location. We were just traveling through and felt safe in this location. 


Clean budget motor inn

We had a contactless check in with an envelope with our name on it. It contains one key, the wifi password and a data-capped internet pass for one device per day. With that said, let me tell you the cold hard truth. The wifi is horrible. I just switched to data the entire stay.

I expected the room to smell really old considering the outside looks really old (which I understand the rustic Yukon/Alaska look being trendy in both areas) but there was minimal old smell. TV channels are aplenty showing TV stations all over the US and Canada.

I was gonna deduct a point for poor Wifi service, but the cleaning lady was extremely nice. We met her by chance as I was leaving and she cleaned our room immediately after we left for Kluane adventures. 

It was unfortumate we were operating cashless during the pandemic, and so we forgot to leave a tip for her. As compensation, I'm leaving this 5/5 review by the staff alone.

Location is perfect. Well the townsite itself is perfectly located with the Kluane range literally in front of you! 

Check out was also smooth. Just drop off the keys at the box outside. I rewrapped mine at the same envelop they gave me.

Looks dated on the outside but pretty decent inside, cleaning lady was absolutely nice!

We checked in here last minute after an Air Bnb booking nearby went horribly wrong, and they were able to accommodate us for the 3 nights we required, in the upstairs suite.  The check-in staff person was exceptionally nice and understanding and gave some helpful local tips.  Our room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked, with a glorious view of the mountains.  The room was cleaned and restocked daily. 
The Mile 1016 Pub on site offers good food, local beer,  and friendly service.
We were SO happy and impressed with our stay here, in all ways.

All you need in Haines Junction

Spacious rooms with everything you need and everything you didn’t know you needed! Room had ample toiletries plus cups and glasses, coffee supplies and even a clean rag for dirty jobs. Room has fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, hairdryer and cot. Nice updated rooms. Perfect location on the highway.

Clean, Comfortable and Ample Amenities

Stayed overnight and it was very comfortable with beautiful views of snow covered mountain tops.
Our room was on the second floor (no lift) and had a long veranda right along the front of the building.
The room was fairly large, well appointed and the bed was excellent. The motor inn was adjacent to Restaurant 1016 where we had a pub meal. For breakfast, we went to the bakery across the road from the hotel

We called the same day of travel and got the last room.  Excellent suite for 7 of us (upstairs). Clean and quiet and the views of the mountains are fantastic.  Restaurant/bar, laundry, internet, microwave, fridge. Huge parking lot. Office staff was not on site due to the time we arrived but we called and she was there in less than 5 minutes.  Would stay again.

Great views

Stayed here Oct 1/2022. Nice enough motel , on par with most motels in the Yukon and backcountry Alaska. We arrived at 5pm , and office was closed , but had an envelope with our name , keys ,and wifi password in it.. The adjacent pub had great burgers ,but ever better views right from our table , had nice cold beer , and a great staff. overall very pleased.

Nice Stay

I recently stayed  here due to the Highway being closed. The woman who checked me in was pleasant and kind. The room was nice and clean. I was travelling with 2 dogs and they welcomed the dogs no problem at all. The rate was very reasonable for a good quality room. Highly recommend staying here!
