Misty Isles Lodge

Accommodations are very clean, reasonably spacious, and well maintained.  Owner is friendly and attentive.  Privacy without isolation.  Cottages right on the edge of the St. Lawrence River, at a marshy area - can see lots of birds and wildlife right from the cottage, can see the tour boats way off in the distance.   Fire pit for each cottage.

Awesome first time kayaking adventure. Stayed at Misty Isles Lodge. It was great place from which to launch kayaks, ride bikes, hike, and visit the towns of Gananoque and Brockville. The cottages were clean, the staff was great, and the showers were hot! 

Misty Isles is beautiful, restful, peaceful and simply one of the best places to stay in the area.

Recent trip was my third time staying at Gayle's Misty Isles Lodge.  First time was a single cabin, traveling solo, back in 2011.  Second time was a deluxe cabin with spouse, summer before last.  This time we opted for a lovely large 2-bedroom cottage for two full weeks.  

All cabins/cottages were comfortably furnished with kitchens fully kitted out: stove, oven, microwave, kettle, drip coffee pot (filters provided!), pots, pans, dishes, flatware, glasses/cups/mugs, etc. Every accommodation has a gas grill outside, with propane, firestarter and grilling utensils provided.

Loved the gorgeous setting, right along the St. Lawrence with many of the most scenic of the Thousand Islands seen from Misty Isles' shore and the several docks on the property. 
(Note: We are not television viewers at home and the views are what we come to Misty Isles for, so the telly didn't come on at all during our stay. However, we did use the free wi-fi available on occasion; it was a bit slow, but otherwise no issues once connected.)

Misty Isles is well-tended & landscaped with lovely flowers and outdoor 'art' pieces around the property. There's a small pond and a little arched wooden foot bridge connecting the RV portion of the property with the cottages & cabins. A small sandy 'beach' area is located near the main dock and some toddler-sized play items are available for small children. 
Sea kayaks are available for rent to paddle out to visit some of the islands, or just to gaze at the scenery from the water. Bicycles are also available - gratis - for guests staying there at Misty Isles. The Thousand Island Parkway is nearby and there are miles of paved bike/walking trails that parallel the scenic highway. 

Gayle, the owner of Misty Isles, is the epitome of friendliness and welcoming hospitality, which we've come to associate with everyone we've encountered there in the Thousand Island area of Ontario.  

We're already planning another return stay!  :-)

nice relaxing area, we still in a 2 bedroom  cottage excellent    going up again this year my friend has stayed there many time before. bring your kayaks or rent them, bring your own bike or rent them  down the road there is park where there are paths you can sit atop  a cliff and look upon the scenery

we stayed there from Sept 27th to Oct 2nd 2015, right on the St. Lawrence river, short bicycle ride to Gananoque from there a short 30 minute drive to Kingston. short ride to Boldt Castle, a ferry ride to Wolf Island Garth's farm corn maze. I recommend staying here

1000 Islands Kayaking

Relaxing and fun!!!

Good service, but bad afterservice.
Rented a kayak 3 days.  Excellent experience.  
Was charged 4 days of parking while the website says parking free with rental.
Was offered a credit!! for the 4 days, but no credit for the HST!!!
When asked for no credit but full refund of parking fees (I live several hours away), communications went silent.
Be carefull here.
