Gîte Un air d'été

This is a superb B&B located maybe a 3-minute drive from Ste Anne de Beaupré and 15 minutes from the old town of Quebec City – we spent the night here to break up a trip from Montreal to Tadoussac. They have 4 comfortable rooms in the basement (not dark – windows in every room), two with full bathrooms and two sharing a bathroom, with a den area, full kitchen and eating area for guests, and of course their fantastic backyard (go if possible when the weather is nice) with a swimming pool, eating areas, very nice places to sit out and look over the river as the sun goes down, and all very peaceful. All was perfect, from the owners‘ warm welcome, to a great breakfast (tell them ahead of time of any dietary restrictions – we are vegetarian and all was perfect), to the site and the cleanliness. Plus letting us bring our small dog (they have a sweet little dog too). We plan on returning on our next trip to the area. Just across the main road (route 138 – a 5-minute walk from the B&B) there is a real nice "casse-croute" (snack bar) with excellent pizzas and a lot of other things to eat – they let you bring well-behaved dogs to the picnic table area.
