The Innkeepers were welcoming, excellent suggestions for visiting the area & great cooks! The bedroom was beautifully decorated & very comfortable. We liked being close to town & were able to easily walk to shopping & restaurants. Our favorite accommodation on our 2 week road trip in the Canadian Rockies.

An absolutely beautiful bed & breakfast with lovely hosts. I had the best night sleep & woke up to a delicious breakfast.
A highlight was hand feeding tiny birds on the very tranquil back patio.      

Our stay at Buffaloeberry was one of the many highlights of our vacation to Banff and Jasper. Our visit started with them in Banff and did not disappoint. Teresa and James were the epitome of hostess and host. They were very personable, attentive and eager to offer suggestions. The B&B was so quaint and beautiful. Centrally located to walking to downtown Banff. The breakfasts were to die for. Don't look any further for a place to stay. This is it!!

This was home base for our first vacation in 4 years and first time to Banff. We so enjoyed our 5 day visit, Buffaloberry is beautiful, hosts could not have been more lovely, the breakfasts were gourmet. We loved the best blueberry pancakes! Teresa and James the hosts know all the best places to hike and see around Banff. The rooms were so well appointed, sitting on the patio in the evening we could hear wind rustling through the trees. Or we could relax in the living room with music, a good book and afternoon dessert, hope she makes brownies again. A true oasis.

Buffaloberry is now our favorite B&B.  Spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable rooms are highlighted by the comfortable “social areas” and, especially, the attentiveness and friendliness of the hosts.  We’d like to return with the family for another wonderful visit to Banff.

We were two couples travelling Together, and we loved our stay at this B&B.

Buffaloberry is THE Paradise on Earth among this world's B&Bs. 

Theresa & James run this wonderful and classy B&B that exudes cosiness and homely atmosphere. They are wonderful hosts and great cooks...the breakfast is just creme-de-la-creme, and the various kinds of cookies with the afternoon coffee / tea are homebaked and delicious. We stayed with Theresa & James for three nights and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. 

The Buffaloberry has a classy dining- and sittingroom with a nice fireplace and comfortable leather sofas as well as a very nice patio. Our room was clean, nice and snuggy. :-)

Although not located on the main street, Banff Avenue, it's only a few minutes walk...and away from the noise of a main street.

The Buffaloberry is so recommendable and we'll definitely stay there the next time we'll be coming to Canada.

We stayed at Buffaloberry for three nights in mid-September. The location is great - off the main road where most hotels are - but a short walk to the main part of town. Quiet, clean and comfortable room (Oatmeal & Chaff). Good food, lovingly and proudly prepared and presented (accommodating my wife's allergies when told only a few days before arrival).
Contrary to some earlier comments, one of the pleasures of travel is to meet, engage in conversation with others and share experiences - that is one of the attractions of a B&B.  Teresa and James were the perfect hosts and international fellow guests joined in lively breakfast table conversation. 
And their tips on what to see and do were invaluable. They made our first visit to Banff most memorable.

Our stay here was wonderful and I have no negatives to report. The proprietors are experienced professionals who make you feel at home and are knowledgeable about the local environs.

Due to the fire in Jasper we had to relocate and chose Banff - which we had skipped in the first round. As we were late out, options were narrowed, so we were lucky that Buffaloberry came up - and had a room available.
Wonderful house in a safe area - quiet - and only a few blocks from the Main Street. Parking is in the street and is free. 
We were greated when we arrived - and located in our room upstairs. Nice room decorated, views over the mountains. Nice - but small bathroom - but what you need.
Downstairs in the huge living area - we had an afternoon snack - home made of course by Teresa and James. Lovely. The outside patio where you can have a coffee and feed the birds is wonderful, relaxing and James was there for a chat.
It's expensive in Banff - I guess all year around - and the Buffaloberry is on the top of that list. 
Breakfast is yoghurt and fruit, coffee, juice and homemade - a little portion of eggs/bacon baked in a little cup/bowl - tasty but small. Toast as well. I could have eaten twice as much - and for the price - I had expected more. 
But You pay for the luxury house, the location and for the quietness and few guests.

Beautiful Stay in Banff

Buffaloberry is an upscale BNB located near the center of Banff. We stayed in an upstairs room with a king-sized bed and spent three nights. Overall I think the experience was a positive one, the food served is unusual and for the most part above-average. The room is fairly small but the accommodations did not bother us. The hosts know quite a bit about the surrounding areas and will certainly expound on that knowledge for as long as you like. We feel that generally BNB are over-priced in the Banff area and Buffaloberry certainly no exception.

Wonderful stay; warm hosts; memorable food

The hosts of Buffaloberry have a lovely home, clean and wonderfully maintained. They obviously care greatly about it and are very protective of it. They are gregarious so if this is your style the house will suit you. 
I was greeted by Theresa at the front door to detail house rules and giving explanations on how things operated. This continued in the room I had booked. If all this is really necessary at such length maybe a more gracious way would be to allow guests to settle into their room and then to talk, seated in the living room over coffee. 
There is a communal breakfast table with guests choosing the time of their breakfast by writing it on a blackboard. There is no choice of main meal, although muesli, yoghurt and fruit with juice are also provided. I thought the spicy vegetable wraps a strange main breakfast but was told that I should eat up as the hosts were used to cooking large breakfasts for hikers. Whilst the breakfasts are an important element in the reputation of this B & B I thought they were no better than others I enjoyed during my travels through Canada. The hosts continually popped out of the kitchen to detail all the ingredients of the breakfast and to talk about their cycling trips, the fires raging in BC, local stories, and their own travels. The other guests at the table seemed to enjoy that conversation although I found it overwhelming, struggling to have conversation with complete strangers over breakfast. Whenever I left the house one or other of the hosts would appear which was slightly disconcerting.
There is parking in the garage underneath the house but room only for two guests' vehicles. Otherwise it is street parking which I was encouraged to use although I did park in the garage.
The room was quiet despite being at the front of the house on the road. It is furnished in an American country style. The bathroom is compact but contains all that is needed. 
Buffaloberry is within walking distance of the main town but it is still a number of long blocks and may prove difficult for some people. Parking in Banff is a nightmare!
At CAD$494 a night Buffaloberry is a very expensive option even for Banff. 


Talkative hosts

Theresa and James were so helpful in suggesting ways to make our vacation go smoother, offering tips and opinions to go about their beautiful town. Their breakfast was a delicious way to start the day and the location was perfect with easy parking options and walkable to town for shopping and restaurants. Their home was clean, comfortable, and convenient, which takes the stress out of vacationing.  Thanks for the hospitality!!!

Oh Canada thanks for the memories

The location was perfect. A very short walk to the main street, which was very crowded. The Buffaloberry was quiet and comfortable. The rooms were a nice size since it was built as a B&B. The back patio was beautiful and very pleasant. The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. The flowers and plants were abundant and beautiful. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
