Amenida is exactly what you would expect it to be for an older, budget hotel. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. It is located right by the C Train for ultra convenient access to downtown. The AC was fine in our room - not the most powerful, but enough for a comfortable sleep.Noise from outside was minimal despite it being Stampede. The staff were friendly and courteous, even makig sure we had sunscreen.

It is not 5 star but had everything we needed. Comfortable bed. Walking out the back parking lot and straight on to the downtown train is great! Front desk servi e was great :) would return...

The French stuff people were great housekeeping was not that good. They actually threw my prescription medicines away when they clean the room but overall, I like the place.

It appears the property is undergoing much needed renovations.  Our room had a noisy portable air conditioner unit which needed to be refixed to the window.Dining room closed so no food service at all. Room was clean.The best thing of this stay was the convenience to the C Train and getting to the Stampede or into the city.

I was very on the go, so didn't get to fully enjoy amenities like the pool (it looked quite busy all the time anyway, being as hot as it was) - but at least the hours were good until 11pm; nor did I get to do a load of laundry (which I wanted to do) - but it's supposedly 24hrs. It was quiet, private, parking was plentiful and the room fairly comfortable and pretty clean from what I could tell. The only issue I had that was a big con, is accessibility. I had just gone through a move and was feeling pretty beat up, limping. It was a struggle to bring my stuff in. There were 3 access doors aside from the main entrance and only ONE, the farthest away from my room, could be used to go inside. Nowhere from the main check in floor, was accessible without having to do stairs, so I could not use a rolling cart to help me get to my room with my luggage. Every possible entrance required using stairs up or down... so for someone who would need a higher level of accessibility would have a problem, so I would not recommend Amenida for them. In my case, it was a rare situation I was struggling physically, but it was really rough. A long way to walk to and from my room to either the desk or the parkinglot, let alone when I was hauling my stuff in.Otherwise staff seemed pleasant and seemed to be handling how busy things were getting with Canada Day and going into Stampede.

PRO: minutes from 39th St red line C-train station; minutes from A&W (best fast-food breakfasts!); close to numerous good Asian restaurants; bus stop right outside; pool was small but pleasant; cleaners were good and very pleasant.CONS: the "split-entry' lobby means you need to climb stairs to reach the elevator; key-cards deactivated 3x in a week; parking lot drain was blocked so lot was under 6" of rain water one morning.

Room was clean, and quiet at night (excellent to catch up on well needed sleep). But A/C was through large bulky portable unit; with attached enormous dryer like hose, taking up 1/4 of the free room space. It did keep the room nice and cool though. There was NO breakfast at the hotel AT ALL, eventhough it is advertised at hotels.com & expedia that there is breakfast included. You must walk outside hotel through busy traffic area to buy breakfast. "Dee" the operational manager & Grant and Ismael (front desk personnel) were very kind and helpful -even providing me with bottled spring water upon arrival. Definitely strong 3-STAR hotel; and for the price was worth the cost. Nice Stay.

Nice and Comfortable Stay

The hotel is decent and reasonably priced. If possible, request a room with a low number (below 120, 220, or 320), as rooms farther back are closer to the Pacific Railway and the C-Train, which can be noisy. Fortunately, the air conditioning worked well, so I didn’t need to open the windows despite the noise.The hotel’s proximity to the C-Train is a major plus if you have business downtown—there’s a direct access door to the parking that leads the platform, making it just a quick 15-minute ride to the city center.

Convenient to CTrain, say o get downtown and Stampede ground.

The 2 side doors are out of order, only 1 side door is working. The carpet inside the room are not very clean.

Excellent location near Stampede grounds.  Only a short walk to train and one stop to Erlton station.  Evening Stampede fireworks visible from Hotel parking lot.
