Heavens Edge Mountain Lodge

In pursuit of some quiet relaxation in the middle of this pandemic we wanted to get away for a few days. We chanced upon Heaven’s Edge just by random search and initially we were skeptical as we did not find many reviews about this place and also the remoteness of the location. But our family of four have travelled a lot and stayed in a variety of places so we took a chance and booked the place. We arrived on a very hot day and were greeted by Gary who was very friendly and gave us a tour of the place. Our cabin was extremely nice and cool on that hot day. We did not feel the need for air conditioning on any of the days we stayed and it was very hot outside but nice and cool inside. The beds were extremely comfortable, the cabin was very spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. When we ran out of groceries, we made a quick trip to Valemount IGA and picked up essential items. The view from the cabin was spectacular and the location of the cabin was perfect for nearby hikes, Mt. Robson, Rearguard falls, Whitewater rafting, Valemount etc... We even drove to McBride one day just to see the railway station. Driving in any direction from that place is a beautiful journey by itself. Gary and Pauline are the friendliest people we have met. They gave us our privacy but made sure we were okay. Overall, it was the perfect getaway at a perfect time!
